Pretty fork, but flawed for fat tires
- Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
This is a well made cantilever fork. However, it has a design flaw which I consider fatal. The cantilever bosses are mounted flush on the fork arms. If you are using TRP Mini-V brakes (which in my opinion are vastly superior to other cantilever options), the pads cannot swing past the fork arms and will jam against tires wider than about 35mm when you try to remove them. Therefore, you need to deflate your tire to remove it. Given that I typically ride big tires like 40mm WTB nanos, this is a non-starter for me. That said, this would be a fine fork for regulation cyclocross tires. I returned this for the Ritchey WCS fork which is an equally nice fork without this problem. On the Ritchey, the canti bosses are mounted forward of the fork arms by about 7mm which makes it possible for the pads to swing out of the way of the tire.
Some of us still ride Cantis.
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
So, what about us? The folks that still ride Cantis- for one reason or another. Maybe we have a bike we love that doesn't have discs. Maybe we're old and grumpy and set in our ways- regardless this is the fork you NEED to have if you're rocking Cantis and are in need of a fork. This is the Rolls-Royce of forks, I plan on keeping this fork until the end of time.

Smooth Stability
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
I had the tapered disc version on my Ibis Hakkalugi. Whether I was riding chunky dirt or cruising canyon pavement descents, the fork kept everything stable and confident while taking the sting out of any harshness. The fork looked great with its matte carbon finish as well.
Do these have a comparable ASTM rating like Whisky forks?

like an old glove

But in a good way. While we seem to be gravitating towards disc CX bikes and brutal stiffness, I still have a canti-brake'd CX bike with this Enve CX fork on it - I forgot how good this fork feels. Stiff when braking but has a certain je ne c'est quoi...its just a feeling that I missed, and like. My other canti forks don't feel like this, but all the Enve products do. Its a FEEL, man.
