What do you think about this product?

I had a Wahoo Kickr but this is better. And Cheaper. Kind of crazy. Also, after dealing with Wahoo customer service, I don't think very highly of their business. Lastly, there was no way of getting my 11 speed Shimano 105 shifting to work with the Kickr without adjusting the shifters every time I took the bike off or put it on so I returned it. The Elite Suito does not have this problem and I like the handle, design and price better. This is the one to get. I should mention the Wahoo had connectivity issues and required frequent calibrations which isn't ideal. This has worked just fine, in fact it's more user friendly.

- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
The only thing that is preventing me from giving this 1 star is the fact that the trainer is so darn quiet and that it does pack down fairly flat. As of right now, I've had a troubleshooting case opened with Elite for 2 weeks in regards to the trainer not changing the resistance level. I submitted the requested video of the magnets while adjusting the resistance level within the elite app. The trainer connects to the app fine and I see speed and power data but the resistance does not change. While I understand that Elite is located in Italy and under stringent lockdown, customer support has been pretty terrible. It took 4 "business days" to respond to my initial inquiry. It's been another 4 business days since I uploaded further data. I want this trainer to work but I can't recommend it at this time.

Not the product, it's the seller
I have not yet received my new trainer... I'm pretty bummed about it. That said, I am increasingly impressed by the service from Competitive Cyclist. Having spent a lot of my working life making retail better in a variety of organizations I am critical out of professional habit of almost every retail transaction into which I enter. What has impressed me about Competitive Cyclist is that their staff are direct and take accountability when things go wrong. I ordered the unit online, and on sale, but I was shocked the next day when my order status mysteriously flipped to back ordered. I engaged CC's support team via chat and they found a way to fix the issue immediately. Now that the order was fixed it shipped right away and got lost within USPS... Sigh. Still, a quick chat with CC and they have assured me that they have a remedy. As an international customer, I have don't have a convenient way to engage with the USPS. Not to worry CC has picked up the baton and are taking care of things for me. In the middle of the pandemic, with online retailers everywhere failing to provide even a decent facsimile of service, the Competive Cyclist is a refreshing change. I will continue to do business with Competitive Cyclist for years to come. Not because they knocked it out of the park on the first try, but because they stood up and acted with integrity when things did not go smoothly.

- I've used it several times
- 5` 1"
- 129 lbs
Easy to set up, instructions were a little obtuse, but once we figured it out, it was a breeze! I definitely needed my hubby's assistance - having two people just made bike set up easier for me! After that, just plugged it in, connected to bluetooth, signed in to the software and was ready to go! Note - the software that comes with it - you get more features if you subscribe. And, whatever "free" code that was enclosed, didn't work. I'm also subscribed to Zwift - there are benefits to having both. Oh, I used my cyclocross instead of my road bike - sometimes the power and speed go don't track well - like I know I'm pedaling a steady 80 RPM, but the displayed RPMs are jumping all over - maybe that's a function of my cyclocross gearing? When I ride in a lower gear, everything syncs up fine. Oh, and, we live in an apartment and the trainer is super quiet!

Can you swap the cassette out for another one (ie 9 or 10 speed)? Thanks.
October 15, 2020
I have a 9 Speed Cassette, so does this mean I wouldn’t be able to hook my bike up to this?
October 16, 2020
You can swap out the included 10 speed cassette with your 9 speed.

Hey Jacob, great question. You will be able to use this trainer, but you will need to remove this cassette and install a 9s one. All you will need is a couple tools, or you can pop by your closest service shop to have them install it for you.

Can I get an adapter for my Campy 9 speed cassette with the Elite Suito trainer

Great equipment for the money!
- I've put it through the wringer
I had been looking at Smart trainers for a while. Was about to pull the trigger on a Wahoo Kickr when I read some good things online (and saw some good things) about this Elite Suito. I am not the best nor fastest cyclist in the world. 15% gradiant is more than enough for me. Perfect accuracy was also not a requirement. For me the most important thing was being able to take the thing out of the box, get my bike up on it, and get onto Zwift as easily and quickly as possible and this little unit was PERFECT for that. I am loving this guy on ZWIFT and have already done nearly 300 miles in only about 3 weeks' time and the unit has performed flawlessly during this time. It does make a little noise but certainly not anything to write home about. This trainer has me excited to wake up on a "ZWIFT day" knowing I can "ride" my bike in the cold New England weather as much as I want that day. If you are considering a turbo trainer and are not a world-class athlete and just want to get fitter and have fun I think this is a great little trainer for the money!

Hi! Thanks for the review. In terms of the noise level, is it too much for apartment living?
