Giustaforza II 2-16 Pro Torque Wrench
A $240 torque wrench may leave you scratching your head, but believe us when we say that this is the Ferrari of torque wrenches. The Italian-designed, engineered, and manufactured tool was conceived specifically for use with bicycles, and the Effetto Mariposa Giustaforza II 2-16 Pro Torque Wrench isn't found at your local auto parts store, yet for whatever exclusivity is worth, it matches with equal parts function.
The Giustaforza is incredibly simple to use: just insert the appropriate bit, then set the desired torque by adjusting the knob on the handle. When torque has been reached the wrench produces a loud "CLICK" and enables three degrees of free movement. The Giustaforza's capacity ranges from 2-16Nm, and its beautiful red anodized aluminum body will visually stand apart from any other tool you own — unless you don't want it to, in which case you can leave it in its beautiful EVA foam-padded metal case. It relies on zero batteries or electronics, ensuring a lifetime of use, and yet it weighs less than half as much as many competing wrenches, so even once that lifetime passes and you're old and frail, you'll still have no trouble wielding your Giustaforza.
The Effetto Mariposa Giustaforza Pro II 2-16 Torque Wrench comes in
one size and in the color Red.
- 2-26Nm capacity
- Heads included: [10x25mm] HEX2, HEX2.5, HEX3, HEX6, T10, T15, T20, T30, -3/16, +PH1, [3x100mm] HEX4, HEX5, T25, [1x100mm] extension

Is this small enough to fit in a saddle bag for on the go repairs or is this just for working on the bike at home?

Worth it
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
This has a strong click when it hits torque. Very easy to dial. The bits included are actually not bad. Better than some chrome bits that strip out easy. The long bits are super nice for getting into brake calipers or on rear brake caliper bolts where the frame is in a tough spot. Have really enjoyed this tool. I have not verified the accuracy but it matches very close to my other torque wrenches.

Terrible accessories
This torque wrench is very expensive and feels good in the hand. But the included bit holder and the various heads (bits) are the lowest quality I have ever seen -- any $20 collection is infinitely better finished and fits together better. The fit is so bad as to make the torque readings suspect. And amazingly there is no standard length 5mm hex head -- just a 4 inch (100mm) bit. In the end I had to use my Wera bit holder and bits to have any confidence that I was measuring torque to the bolt in question, and not to the slop in the Effetto parts. It is incredible that these parts come with what Effetto describes as a professional tool.

Is this a 2-16nM or 2-26nM range? Device has 2-16nM printed on it as I can see from the images, but the text body details a 2-26nM range. Thanks,

The Ferrari of Torque wrenches
Wow! I've used other torque wrenches in the past and never have I trusted something so much when it comes to tightening expensive parts. With torque wrenches, you really get what you pay for. The Giustarforza is a very high end and very well calibrated tool. Finally I can rest easy knowing I'm torquing to the proper specs without a doubt on the first try. This wrench has a very satisfying feel so you know you're very close and then the subtle click to stop. It includes a sweet roll up case, plastic storage box and all the bits and extensions make a great set to add to your toolbox!

Does this thing have a ratcheting mechanism? Not a ‘deal-breaker’, but it would be nice.

Work of art tool
- Familiarity:

I had a torque wrench and bought this because it was just plain gorgeous. It turns out that it is also useful. I have the first version of this and the torque settings are spot-on. I am lucky to have a local machine shop that does high-precision work and had them check it. It came within 2%. The analog dial is also quite accurate. As a rule, and except for the crank components, I slightly under-torque most of my components like the seat post, bars, etc. I have never had anything slip.

Gorgeous precision torque wrench
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
Not cheap by any means but this tool is simply gorgeous and so well suited for work on a bike. Small enough to get practically anywhere and very precise. You pay for what you get and some people will say hey this is too expensive. Fine don't buy one. Some tools are just worth it and this one spoke to me. BTW, until they get the site correct on this, I got this from CC but through Amazon. It does not come in a tin like the picture (something of a bummber) but did come in a red plastic wrap up with velcro which is probably more practical when you think about it. NOTE THOUGH THE WRENCH DID COME WITH THE BITS SO YOU DON'T HAVE TO BUY THE SEPARATE SET CONTRARY TO WHAT IS SAID ABOVE.

Any chance you have checked to see if it's actually +/-4%. I own the Park tool torque wrench and out of the box it was well beyond rated spec.
