Quite frankly, we're a little jealous that bikes like the Early Rider Belter 20in Trail 3S Complete Kids' Bike didn't exist when we were little tykes. With 50-millimeters of front suspension, lightweight aluminum construction, and an internal gear box, the Belter Trail 3S is ready to hit the trails hard with all of the bells and whistles your grom will need to ignite their passion with the mountain. It's designed for those who have graduated from their push bike to pedals, and are hungry to get off of the pavement and start tackling pump tracks and trails.

The Belter Trail 3S is designed to capture the mountain bike look, but still use easy geometry that's comfortable for 6 to 9 year old riders. It has a moderately steep head tube angle at 69.5-degrees, allowing for quick maneuvering and handling, making learning to pedal up switchbacks easier, and a steep seat tube angle keeps your rider forward, with a short, comfortable reach, and better positioning for pedaling. The bike features a Spinner Grind Air Fork that soaks up bumps and roots with 50-millimeters of travel, and uses disc brakes for incredible modulation and reliability.

The bike gets its name, the Belter, from the drivetrain that shies away from external cassettes and chains, instead opting for a belt drive with internal gearbox in the rear hub. It uses the SRAM i-Motion 3 gearbox, instead of the traditional cassette, to provide the gears they will need to get up and over steep hills, and accelerate when the trail opens up. The advantage of a belt drive system instead of a cassette, chain, and derailleur comes through in a few areas. Firstly, because the gears are kept inside of the hub, it holds up better to rain and weather, then there's the lack of rear derailleur that can need adjusting and tuning from a simple bump. Lastly, drive belts are designed to never stretch, or need lubrication. Ultimately it's a much less labor-intensive drivetrain, so your little one won't have to ask you for a tune up every time they want to grab the bike and take a spin.
