Ghisallo Merino Jersey
The De Marchi Men's Ghisallo Merino Jersey pays homage to Italy's most famous cycling museum, which lies a mere stone's throw from the Madonna del Ghisallo hill where a number of iconic cycling races finish. Besides its historic and beautiful location, the Ghisallo Cycling Museum has a number of antique and race-winning bikes from throughout the past century, as well as the original tools used to build bikes at the beginning of the 20th century.
As such, you'll find the appropriately named Ghisallo Merino Jersey takes a nod to the past with its retro-themed graphics and merino wool-blended fabric. Details like mother of pearl buttons and a vintage zipper make it a veritable replica of jerseys from the past. It's entirely made in Italy, so you can wear this classic cycling jersey with the pride and heritage evoked by De Marchi's 70 years of Italian cycling heritage.

This is a premium jersey. The fit is great and the material is comfortable. The first time you wear this jersey, it might be kinda itchy for a few minutes, but once you get used to it, it’s great. While it’s wool, it’s not hot. I wore in during California summers along the coast and San Gabriel valley in late morning and afternoon hours. Never felt too hot. This jersey isn’t for everyone, but if it’s for you, you’ll be happy. If you purchase just because you think it looks cools, revisit what you want out of a jersey and then decide.

Get what you pay for, retro cool, WOOL
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Converting more and more of my gear to quality wool. This fits that mark. Jersey pays tribute to the more recent cycling museum in Italy...right next to the 'Cyclists Church'...on my bucket list to visit sometime. I consider the fit to be a sport cut fit--not racer tight. Planning a future Eroica ride and this will fit the bill nicely as the retro inspired attire the series requires. Dinging a star for value--I've got surly wool jerseys that seem the quality of this--just not style--for a substantial discount. Fit, finish, feel of this jersey is very nice. Embroidery well done.
