Is this pack waterproof? I need a pack for riding to class in the rain with my laptop.
Really liked his bag and the magnetic clasp for the rubber tube was a nice touch. I found it on that the reservoir compartment Cut into the depth of the backpack where basically you could only use half of the length of the bag because of the water reservoir. Lots of compartments on places to put gear
Cooler, safer, comfortable
- Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
I snagged the Dakine Drafter 18L Hydration pack for my husband, who's older Dakine bag was beginning to smell like a football player's armpit, on a good day.
The pack features a lumbar located hydration reservoir, but can also run a full length reservoir, which gives you versatility, and even the ability to carry extra water if you're going for a really long ride. Admittedly, one of my favorite features is the back panel, which sits away from the back to keep you cooler, and is reinforced to protect your spine, so I'm no longer worried about letting him cut loose on the trail and go big. The Jungle colorway looks great in person, and the colors are true to the photo.
He's ridden in the pack about 5 times so far and has had nothing but good things to say about it, so I'm giving this a solid 5 stars.
