Be one with your bike.

The Dakine Men's Covert Gloves' simple design and unpadded construction ensure secure hand-to-bar feel, without skimping on the details.

The body of the gloves were sewn from a 4-way stretch polyester that wicks moisture away from your skin. This material allows you to move your fingers freely. Aiding this are neoprene knuckle flex panels. Silicone gripper was added to the touchscreen compatible fingertips to engage easily with brake levers and shifters for clean and fast shifting. Microfleece thumbs are perfect for wiping sweat from your brow.

The Dakine Covert Gloves - Men's are available in six sizes from X-Small to XX-Large and in two colors: Threedee and Black.

Solid lightweight MTB glove.

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: Runs large

I want to preface this review by saying I bought these gloves for my buddy Nate, and here are his initial impressions.

He bought the Mediums in the Rasta color option.
He said that they do run a little large.

Here is a quote from him on them,
"The material is quite stretchy and comfortable on your hand. I was excited when I received the gloves, but ultimately had to return them because the fingers were too long. I went against my instincts and ordered a size larger than usual based off of the size chart."

Break the bank on something else

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: XL

With mountain biking (or cycling in general) there are a million plus ways to spend your money. I'd rather not spend a bunch on gloves, but I still want something that performs well. These gloves are comfy, high quality, breathe well, and have great grip. 10/10 would recommend.

Price point gloves

Solid low price and lightweight gloves for summer use. Made it through most of the season w/ these even though they are thin.

Dakine gloves

Quality gloves at a lower price. Cool graphics/colors plus I live in Oregon where famine is based, I love their products

    Great Gloves

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

    • Size Bought: Medium

I love these gloves, pretty durable but very lightweight for those mid-summer rides in the wasatch. I like just pulling them on vs a velcro closure on most other models.

    Decent, Basic Glove?Not My Favorite

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This is a decent, basic glove. It's a little thicker than some other gloves of a similar design and price point (IMO) and the grip is great. There's no "real" wrist closure, though, so over time the wrist opening stretches out a little. I'd prefer a glove with a Velcro closure so you can always keep the wrist closed up and tight when you're riding in mud or dusty conditions.

I keep this as a backup/spare in my riding duffel.

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size

These are pretty damn great. I much prefer them to Dakine's Exodus gloves. They feel better and have an overall better fit.
