Excellent case

Just recently used mine to travel to Scottsdale to ride. I have a XXL frame and it fit great. The instructions in the bag are easy to follow. The separate bags for your forks and the Velcro padding that connect to the top tube and hold the bars work amazing. The bag is sturdy and while wheeling it through the airport it didn’t tip or anything. Can’t wait to travel more and use this awesome traving bike bag.

Dakine! I love this bag!

I have only traveled once so far this year with this travel bag. At first I thought it would be top heavy while pulling it through the airport. But its very stable and maneuverable with ease. Packing the bike; I recommend doing this at home a couple times for memory purposes. I wish there was a larger pad that surrounds the frame and handlebars once they are secured. Also would like to be able to purchase two extra wheel bags because there is room to pack an extra set of wheels. It's light weight so you can add gear inside if needed and still stay under a 50lb limit. I have three more trips to make this year and we will see how durable the bag is as they throw it around the baggage claim area. Hoping to never have bike damage as some of my friends have had with other bags.

Planning a trip and want to ride your bike vs renting you should put the Dakine Bike Bag high on your list. Easy to pack bike securely for optimal protection to destination send. Dakine has really thought through the details to make sure the bike-specific pads, wheel and fork bags protect critical areas during transport including discs, drivetrain and dropouts. I am also impressed with the internal anchoring system and bag frame structure being interconnected to maintain structural integrity for added insurance for bike safety. Transporting the bike bag around is a breeze due to the heavy duty wheels and multiple handles to grab. Dakine also thought about storage and I have been extremely happy the bag wraps up like a burrito for compact storage. The removable tool and pedal bag is also sweet since I always put my pedals, shoes, helmet and any other key items in a checked bag just in case the bike doesn't show up. This way you have the essentials to borrow or rent a bike while you wait for your steed.
