Crank Brothers' Doubleshot Pedals address the needs of riders who want to be clipped-in sometimes, but also want the freedom to occasionally ride on platforms. Whether you're a newbie to the world of clip-ins or someone who uses your bike for trail riding on the weekends and commuting during the week, the Doubleshot's two-sided design allows you to switch from clipped-in to flat with a flick of the pedals.
On the clipless side, Crank Brothers includes its classic Egg Beater design, which is easy to get in and out of in a pinch when you get to a technical section of trail. When you're clipped-in, you have the choice of either 15 or 20 degrees of float, and the lightweight aluminum and stainless steel body offers enough durability to handle both the roads and the trails without adding bulk to your frame.

These pedals are just what I was looking for. I've never used clipped in pedals but I bought these to try it and so far enjoy it. They are very easy to get in and out of, and it's nice being able to flip and ride unclipped if I need. Very happy with my purchase.

I enjoy riding with both flats and cleats, so these pedals are perfect for both. I have had great traction with flats and the clip in side works great as well. The platform is nice and wide so perfect for the new rider trying to get into clip ins.

Bought these for commuting since I like to wear regular shoes when it's warm and click in during the winter. Read in other reviews that the platform side of the pedal is slippery, but I haven't experienced that. Sticks just fine to my shoes when not clipped in.
