Not too warm.

It may have "warm" in its name, but the Craft Men's Warm CN Top isn't exactly a heavyweight baselayer for skiing in the middle of winter. On the contrary, this lightweight baselayer is best worn on sweaty ski tours and sunny spring days. Its stretchy fabric offers full mobility, wicks moisture, and dries quickly to keep you fresh from the skinner to dinner.

  • Light baselayer for touring and spring skiing
  • Stretchy fabric wicks moisture and dries quickly
  • Form-fitting design layers easily

Not up to Craft quality

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: M

I own 7 other craft base layers (short and long sleeve, cool weather through their coldest). Hundreds of washings, worn for cycling, multi day hiking, and snow sports. All have held up fantastically.

Enter this new product. Any abrasion causes uncontrolled fraying of the fabric. Two washings and the neck opening is rolling inward and outward -- like a cheap t-shirt.

Very disappointed.

Meticulous loses all meaning

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: medium

I've never seen stitching like this before. Surprised they only warranty these for 30 days because I've got a feeling I'll be passing this on to my grandson some day. I'm assuming it was manufactured by robots because no human could possibly be capable of this type of perfection. Couldn't possibly want anything more from a synthetic midweight baselayer. I found the sizing to be spot on but if you have significant muscle mass you may want to size up. I typically wear a medium base which leaves some lose fabric around the upper arm and shoulder area but this one was snug as a bug, almost like a compression piece.

Great material

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Love the "soft" feel. Raring to use it for the upcoming season. A word on sizing: it's true to size but make sure you check the Size chart. I usually wear a size M, but had to move one size up for brands such as this and Castelli ...

Thanks for the review Jeremy. I agree on the sizing, I am usually Medium and definitely size up to a Large for Craft.
