A warm winter glow.
Block out icy blasts of wind and retain an insulating layer of body heat on chilly rides with the Craft Glow Jacket. Created to be worn over a base layer or jersey, the jacket is made with a wind-resistant outer shell and lined with a soft brushed inner fabric for insulation. Craft includes thermal polyester at the backs of the sleeves as well, which works to keep you warm and wick moisture away from the skin to keep the jacket breathable.
Hailing from Sweden, the designers at Craft have no shortage of experience with challenging workouts in harsh winter conditions, and it shows in the Glow's fit and construction. For a cycling-specific jacket, the company includes details like a silicone gripper at the back hem to keep it in place, ensuring it won't ride up and expose your skin to the cold when you're stretched out over the handlebars. Shorter daylight hours mean you'll be on dimly lit roads more often, so Craft also includes reflective accents on the front and back of the jacket, and the full zipper allows you to adjust body temperature throughout your ride as you warm up or cool off.

Seems perfect for what I need
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Fit: True to size
- Size Bought: Medium
I tried this jacket out for the first time this weekend. Day started at sunrise, 30 degrees, and ride ended at 44 degrees in full sun. Over 30 miles of moderate effort 65-75% FTP. Morning was frigidly cold, and every ride from home starts with a 1 mile descent. A good test for the jacket and it performed perfectly. Wind protection and warmth were great - Craft recommends a base layer or jersey underneath. I had on a short sleeve jersey and arm warmers. My face was frozen and my mid-weight gloves were too thin at the start. But my torso was warm. As the day warmed up, the jacket didn't get too hot, even on climbs (unlike my light rain/wind jacket), and seemed to vent well. The most I had to do was unzip the front a few inches.
Fit is good - trim - not quite aero, but not baggy at all. Much less wind resistance than my light wind/rain jacket. For my body, it is a bit snug at the chest and a tad short in the front when standing up, but on the bike it was perfect and made for a more streamlined fit. I also have a long torso.
