Race on clinchers.

If you're like us, you find comfort on the middle path; far away from the polarities of the cycling world. To us, lightweight clinchers epitomize this ideology, and we applaud your choice of race wheels that can double as a training set. Your tubes should reflect this duality by providing both durable, puncture-resistance and a weight-savings that you can feel on race-day. Easier said than done. However, the Continental Race Light Tube meets both criteria. By strategically shaving 19g off of the Race Tube, the Race Light Tube will keep your rotational weight down without sacrificing the ability to defy the attacks of debris.

The Continental Race Light Tube is available in a 700c x 18-25mm size with the option of either a 42 or 60mm Presta valve. For your classic build, it's also being offered in a 27in x 1-3/4in size.

  • Butyl rubber
  • Removable valve core
  • 42 or 60mm valve stems

Perfect tube to carry during races

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I carry this tube mainly for my long distance triathlon races and while haven't actually had to use it yet, it is a great lightweight option for when things turn for the worse. Replaceable valve also allows for easy addition of extenders.

long lasting tube

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I'm not a pro. I followed someone's instructions on youtube and put baby powder on the tube before I install it. These are in my road bike's wheel set and I have rode them for 1800 miles. Durability seems pretty solid. 42mm is too short for 30mm section wheels, better choice is 60mm.

pretty good

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I ran these on my fixed gear for a while and was happy with them. I'm pretty hard on tires and recommend thicker tube if you are too. These are very light weight and perfect for racers wanting to shed weight.

So much air

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Great tubes. Just your standard. Even if you 28mm wide tires you can still run these tubes. They will stretch just fine. Even though it say 18-25mm. I've been running these on 28mm wide tires for years.

Tubes...

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I love these Conti tubes, and have used them for many years. I use them with my carbon clincher wheels and matched with Vittoria tires.
They are light and they work, enough said.

Perfect

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These are in the wheels and in the spare kit. Light yet solid enough to be my go-to tube, and they fold down tight enough to fit a flat kit into the storage box on a Felt IA.

decent price and light..

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

what's not to like? fair price and light.

Light!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Just as the description states this tubes are light. My only issue is they dont last very long. Great for race day, but not the most durable tube.

Two tubes, two failures

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Perhaps these tubes are not intended for heavier riders. I am 201 pounds and within 12 kilometers of use one tube failed to hold air any longer and the other had a complete blowout.

No more generic crap

Will never walk into LBS again to buy inner tubes, those generic stuff just won't last and I'm a light guy. Got 4 of these bad boys to do a complete swap and spares. Paired it with a set of Vredestein Comp Race, rode ~75 mi and been very happy with the set.

    Exploded

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Might just be that one off manufacture defect, but brand new with new tires, it exploded at 100psi. Shredded along the seam. Probably best to buy stuff like this at your LBS if you can so you can skip the ear ringing and salty dogs.

Two in my tires, two in my bag

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I have these in my tires and in my saddle bag. Occasionally I'll go to a superlight tube, but always seem to come back to the standard.

    Light weight with no fuss

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I've been running the race lights for the last two seasons and absolutely love them. This first thing I make sure is stocked in my saddle bag, and they pack really efficiently for those who like to use a smaller bag.
