Don't be a damsel in distress.

Club Ride Apparel was born in the mountains of Sun Valley, Idaho. A ski resort and the Old West rolled into one, Sun Valley has miles and miles of singletrack to test the prowess of Club Ride's apparel. Some days, though, you only get to ride into town to run errands. For these rides, where you don't want to stroll around in Lycra, Club Ride Apparel's Damsel Women's Shorts fit discretely beneath your favorite shorts or skirt for comfort on and off the saddle.

The lightweight, stretchable Lycra construction of the Damsel shorts is non-binding and conforming. Accordingly, the shorts slip smoothly under your shorts or skirt with no bulk. And as a welcome result, the shorts remain undetectable from the outside.

In terms of fit, you'll find that the Damsel shorts were designed to fit like boy shorts. However, unlike the aforementioned, Club Ride added a wide elastic waistband in order to hold them in place comfortably.

Club Ride Apparel used a CoolMax chamois in the Damsel. This insert is smaller than a traditional road chamois, but it still uses high-density foam instead of the more standard do-nothing fleece. In turn, the insert provides optimal support for your sit bones and soft tissue. Additionally, the CoolMax covering provides friction-free comfort, while rapidly wicking moisture away from the skin.

The Club Ride Apparel Damsel Shorts are available in the color Raven and in five sizes from X-Small to X-Large.

How to Measure:
For best results, take measurements over your underwear.
Measure under your arms, around the fullest part of your chest.
Measure around your natural waistline, keeping the tape a bit loose.
Measure around the fullest part of your body at the top of your legs.
Using pants that fit well, measure the crotch seam to the bottom of the leg.
Measure from the center of your back to your wrist with arms held out.

For the ocasional rider

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

These are perfect to wear under your jeans or shorts when you just want to enjoy a short ride to town, or you want to discover all the beaches close by in the area. Great to keep a casual look.

Great Casual Chamois

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I love the casual performance pieces that Club Ride makes. Their target is street to a seat sort of style. These Chamois fit under basically everything, and lend a little extra protection on daily errand running, or smaller shorter rides. I love that i can wear these incognito to the movies, and then back home.
They are tight on the tummy, and on the thighs, i am used to the feeling as i have thick biker thighs! Id rather them be tight than ride up!
I am 5'3" 130lb and i ordered a Small

Not bunchy

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

My wife says most bike shorts feel like she's wearing a diaper. Big and bulky and bunchy. She love's the way these Club Ride liners have a smaller, thinner pad, as well as a shorter inseam.

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Medium

Definitely not my favorite chamois. I tried on both M & L; and for the padding to fit where it was supposed to, I kept the M. However, the leg openings are pretty tight around my thighs and they roll up which is annoying and not very comfortable. The padding is minimal and I only wear these if all my other chamois are dirty and I'm not going to be on the bike for very long. In hindsight I wish I would have returned them.

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: Runs small

These are made out of a strange material that feels rubbery when I sweat and irritates my skin. I ordered a medium -- the size all of my other liner shorts are--and found these to be too small. The legs of the short rolled up into the creases of my leg during the ride and aggravated skin already irritated from the strange material. Chamois is minimal, but prevents chaffing in the nether-regions. However, my legs were so uncomfortable, I could not wait to take them off.
