Kursk Cycling Shoe

Tug on the Chrome Kursk Shoe, tuck the laces into the lace garage to keep them out of your drivetrain, and hit the road. The Kursk is a tough, cycling-specific shoe that moonlights as a simple pair of casual kicks. Thanks to features like stainless aglets (or lace end-caps for non word-nerds), the aforementioned lace garage, and a board-lasted sole, the Kursk will keep your feet protected and your bike rolling fast.

Don't be fooled by "true to size"

Runs large

First lets just say these shoes rock. Super durable, comfortable, and perfect for biking in the city. However, they run VERY large and long, more so than the converse phenomena. I am usually sizes 11-12 in shoes and had to size all the way down to size 9.5 after ordering and returning every size from 11 down. The heel portion in the back of the shoe tends to be longer and wider than most shoes and was slipping off when i walked. I'm very happy with the 9.5 though. Takes some time to wear in as well.

Better than I anticipated

I've put it through the wringer

I was pleasantly surprised with this sneaker. I haven't been able to wear this type of shoe because they typically lack support but this shoe works. I use it as a bike shoe with a vintage steel race bike with tow clips and the straps removed and it works quite well. I also wear them throughout the day. I bought a second pair. Keep making them, John M.

From the bike to the gym

I love these shoes. I've had them for a few years and I use them for everything from biking around town to deadlifting at the gym. The laces are way longer than they need to be, but they have a bungee that keeps them from flopping around.

Worst shoes I've ever owned.

Wore these for three days and the soles started to separate at the edge.

Bombproof and stylin'

Super tough, great value. Soles feel like they will last forever. Protected toe piece increases durability. I get lots of compliments on these too. Super cool process in how they make these soles.

True to size

These shoes are well made and very comfortable to wear. True to size. These become my favorite.

Pretty decent casual cycling shoe

These shoes are pretty cool. The fabric for the uppers is super tough and I do not think that I will be wearing them out anytime soon. With the toughness does come some stiffness so they do take a little while to get broken in so that they move with your fit better. After a few weeks they fit and feel great. I took them on a 60 mile ride over the weekend and the performed admirably.

I like these shoes

They are great for what they were designed for, riding on flat pedals or cages. Walking is a different story. They are still not broken in at the heal and I have several blisters to show for it. I don't mind, I will heal. But if you are planning to walk any distances after getting off your fixie, put another pair of shoes in your messenger bag. These are definitely great bike shoes.

Great shoes

I've put it through the wringer

Love 'em. A good stiff sole, comfortable fit, quite water-resistant, tough and durable - what more could you want. They aren't real comfortable for walking in but that's to be expected.

do the shoes run true to size?

Yes they do. They are a spacious fit, but true to size.

I am from the old school and still use cage pedals with toe clips. Will these go in and out of the toe clips easy enuf.?? or another suggestions.

Hey, Yeah, that shouldn't be a problem at all.

So do I. They are perfect. They have a nice stiff sole. They are made from a tough canvas that won't be damaged by rubbing on your toe-clips. I commute daily in Seoul, South Korea, lots of lights, lots of crazy traffic and emergency stopping. Feet go in and out no problems.

Hi. I don't use cleats. should I get these shoes or the "Kurtz Pro" model. I notice the Kurtz pro has other features like the rocking sole, which I do find appealing. Or is the cleat feature the only real difference between these shoes?

The pro has a rockered sole because it's stiffer than this version is. This is flexible and, therefore, doesn't need a rockered sole to make it easy to walk in. If you are using platform pedals, I would highly recommend these shoes. I've been using them for the past year and love them.

Very supportive yet not even close to compromising the comfort factor. Clean, stylish, yet tough and functional.
