Some of us say the Chris King Single Speed ISO Disc Hub is too pretty to do anything else but propel a cafe cruiser, while others say this hub works too well to be used on anything but a race/adventure rig. We don't know what you'll decide, but we think everyone will agree that this is one amazing hub.
This hub has all the guts, all the glory of a multi-cog cassette hub, just designed around using a single cog. And we love that King throws in both a cog and spacers into the kit. The fun bolts that clamp the hub into the frame are not only easy to use, they're smart design.
The Chris King Single Speed ISO Disc Hub works with Fun Bolts. These are threaded Allen-head bolts that go into the hollow axle. They can be swapped out for a quick-release skewer. The axle is 19.5mm in diameter. The 32 hole, 6-bolt ISO disc hub comes standard with two spacers, a lock ring, and an 18-tooth Chris King stainless steel single speed cog. The cog can be replaced with any King or Shimano-compatible cog. The axle width is 135mm. The flange diameter is 57.4mm. The center-to-flange measurement on the drive side is 32.3mm. The center-to-flange measurement on the non-drive side is 31.0mm. The hub is available in all nine beautiful Chris King anodized colors: Black, Gold, Green, Mango, Navy, Pewter, Pink, Red, and Silver. 322g w/o lock ring, spacers, and cog.
