Let's say you get a new frame and fork and for some crazy reason, decide to swap your trusty Chris King Devo 1.5 headset to the new rig—at 10:30pm. We've all been there. The excitement is sometimes too much to handle. If you've done this with improper tools (think hammer and screwdriver) and damaged the baseplate for your headset, then this is the new part you'll need. They are also vulnerable to damage doing it the right way with a proper crown race remover. The Chris King 1.5 Devo Baseplate is designed to be affordable should it get lost or suffer the aforementioned damage. It will fit their 1.5 Devolution Headset for use with frames with 1.5in headtubes and forks with 1-1/8in steerers.

This Devo plate looks quite big, but once it's rockin' a 1.5 fork, I have a hunch it'll be easier on the eyes.
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
The fork on my new rig is a bit of a pig... it's steel for cryin' out loud! I knew going in, this would most likely be a temporary solution paired with my new bling'd out Inset 7 that it's using; thus the reason for getting this plate.
When the wallet gets a tad thicker, I will most likely be upgrading the fork to something lighter in weight. Possibly an Enve or Whisky, we shall see. For now, this keeps my leaned out 1 1/8 tubed fork happy.
