This bike was purchased for time trials. Competitive Cyclist did a wonderful job of setting up and packaging the bike, there were no problems assembling it. The combination of Profile aero bars and a long seat post make for a very adjustable bike. Although I was able to do initial test rides, I did need to shorten the seat post a couple centimeters for fit.

Comp Cyclist and P2 are Awesome
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
My experience at competitive cyclist has been awsome. They keep you informed, check in with you and want you to have a good experience. The P2 came with the handlebars, aerobars, wheels and seat post removed. The cabling was all done, and done well. The stem was pre-installed, so I didn't need to mess with the fork. The stem was also installed as high as possible with plenty of room to move it down in the future, but I am starting here (its slightly more aggressive already than my old setup, but a good chance to push myself and overall its relaxed (70.3 maybe ironman ready) with the bars as low as possible). There is 2 or 3 cm on the stem to bring it down if you are doing a shorter race, or you have more experience/flexibility, and risers to bring it about about 1.5 cm if needed. Cervelo really offers a wide range of fit options included with the kit. As for the bike itself, the wheels and tires are not the best, but you probably know that. At this price a decent set of race wheels may be in your budget. For me carbon wheels only make a fairly small difference in speed, but a big one in comfort. Triathlons tend to be on back roads here (maybe everywhere) and they are not the smoothest. I had an older carbon frame and this bike is stiff. I know the newer model is stiffer, but this feels good to me. The newer model also has disc brakes. It doesn't have disc brakes, but for me, the lower price and compatibility with my carbon wheels made this the right bike. At full price I would have gone for the disc brakes. At this price, I feel like I can sell it for a great enough percentage of what I paid and upgrade in a few seasons. Its stupid, but I tell myself its time for a dream bike when my FTP is 300 W (so maybe I never get one). A little extra motivation for those winter trainer sessions. The 105 shifting is crisp. Its a little heavier than the ultegra, but it works great. I changed to my ultegra crank, mainly because its 165mm and I have long legs so it makes it easier to breath in aero. The crank I took off is solid but heavy, surprisingly heavy when I held both the ultegra crank and the one I took off. Most races I do are rolling so probably not a big deal. I got the 56 cm bike and the crank is a 170 mm. Its compact and I prefer subcompact because again no big hills. I can't speak much about the bike itself in terms of handling etc. Its still too cold hear to put it through its paces. One short ride in the cold was good. I also can't speak to the durability. I have no regrets choosing this bike over the newer model. This is the bike for me. If you are unsure, save yourself a few dollars and go for it. Happy training and racing everyone.

Quick question about a small point in your review: You say you prefer subcompact chainrings over compact chainrings because you don't ride big hills frequently. I think you may have "subcompact" and "compact" reversed. Wouldn't a compact (e.g., 50/34) be better for your flatter terrain than a subcompact (e.g., 48/32 or 46/30)?

Comfortable and GREEN!
- I've used it several times
I personally love the green/black color on this bike. It’s super comfy. The Profile Design aero bars are not my favorite but I knew I’d be putting my older but nicer Bontrager aero bars on anyways so no disappointment there.
