Description

Master smart choices.

While we love simple bike computers, we also love the ability to elevate them to smart capabilities. The CatEye Padrone Smart Plus Computer Triple Bundle manages to capture just the right amount of tech and a user friendly interface that ticks the boxes for us. It has some similarities to the basic Padrone, like a big, water resistant face that shows us our data cleanly, but it comes along with wireless Bluetooth technology that synchs up with smart phones, and an assortment of accessories to make sure your heart rate and cadence are right where you want them.

The Padrone Smart Plus easily attaches to your handlebars and uses a large, high-contrast face to feed you the data you want, like speed, cadence, mileage, power output, heartrate and distance. It comes along with a magnet for your spoke and crank, sensor to your chainstay, and heartrate sensor that attaches to your chest so you can track all of the critical information for your ride. Synch it up with your smart phone via Bluetooth and you'll also find that Padrone can track speed with the help of your phone's GPS capabilities, upping the data collected for the ride, though the system works just fine without a smart phone companion if you're only looking to collect cadence, power output, and heartrate. The Padrone Smart Plus transfers all of its data to your smart phone after a ride, allowing easy access for assessing your riding, and focusing training where its most needed. It is compatible with CatEye Atlas, Strava, and TrainingPeaks, making it easy to compile data in whatever format and app you prefer to use.

The CatEye Padrone Smart Plus computer weighs in at only 40-grams (head unit), making it an easy option for minimalists. It runs on a CelTec CR2032 battery, which is included and aims to last for up to 4 months without charging necessary.

I’m set up on a trainer in my basement. I have 1079 feet of “climbing” on 10 rides.
