Sizing has changed -- too small!

I purchased a pair of these shorts in a Medium approximately 2 years ago -- quickly became one my favorite items to wear for a ride or just out and about. Ordered two more pairs, again in Medium, during a recent sale -- but the new shorts are absolutely too small. The original Medium fits perfectly, while the newer version fits like an entire size down. I've returned the Medium and may try the Large instead. Other than the sizing change, still a great piece of clothing.

So I know Castelli runs small, but these short were ridiculously small. I may be getting older and rounder but I wear a medium in all shorts and I couldn't even fit into a large. I have a 32" waist if that helps anybody else in terms of sizing.
