If you aren't a fan of bib tights, but still want to make use of the beautiful winter landscapes and cold-weather training miles, Castelli offers the Sorpasso RoS Tight that removes the bib straps in favor of a comfortable waistband. The Sorpasso RoS — rain or shine — confidently braces against elements that keep your competition indoors after the temperature gets below brisk. Castelli's familiar NanoFlex technology boasts improved water repellency, allowing the Sorpasso RoS to shed water with relative ease while maintaining enhanced breathability and warmth. As you're in the riding position, the anatomically mapped 3G paneling provides ample stretch to allow unrestricted movement at the knee and hip. Extra insulation comes from Nano Flex Xtra Dry fabric, which is sewn to the upper front and thighs to maintain body heat to maximize winter performance.
The Sorpasso RoS uses Castelli's Progetto X2 Air seamless Donna chamois that is designed peak comfort and performance during long winter base miles. Reflective panels cover the calf zips for added security in low-light riding in the cold mornings, and the Sorpasso RoS is rated for rides ranging from 36-54 degrees F.

I bought these to help keep me warm on chilly days and these tights do not disappoint. I purchased a large and they fit perfect. I’ve worn them when the temps have been in the mid 40’s and they kept me toasty warm. The fabric on the front of the quads blocks chilly winds and the fleece lining keeps my legs happy. I was afraid the sizing would be off because I’ve been told Castelli runs small but these fit me well. Love these tights!!!

The padding does not fit adequately

I am a competitive cyclist for 20 years and have frequently ridden in Castelli bibs/shorts. However, the padding in these tights seemed excessive and way too large (larger than usual), and did not seem to anatomically fit. For reference, I always purchase size small in Castelli - but unfortunately the padding was just too much so returning.

Beautiful color poor design

This blue is so unique and a good change from boring black cycling gear. But the design has a seam that is right at the back of your knee and tends to rub. Bad place to put it. I wore them on a 5 hour ride and was uncomfortable. Tried them on a shorter ride and the same problem. Disappointed as they?re not cheap. The rise in the back is great. They?re warm but not as warm as I expected. Got the matching jacket and it?s definitely not warm even with base layers; wind goes right through. Overall disappointed and wish I could return.

I love these pants! I got really into cycling this summer and didn't want to stop as we head into this winter, so I got these pants, and they have not disappointed. They're the perfect fit and have the right padding in all the right places. I'm excited to use these pants all winter long!
