Description

Sorpasso RoS Bib Tight

Castelli engineers the Sorpasso RoS Bib Tight to confidently overtake the elements that would typically drive you to months on the indoor trainer. Castelli's familiar NanoFlex technology, now in its third generation, boasts improved water repellency while maintaining the breathability and warmth we've come to expect. As you're bent forward in the riding position, the anatomically mapped 3G paneling provides ample stretch to allow unrestricted movement at the knee and hip. Under heavy clouds and paceline wheel-spray, the Sorpasso RoS sheds water with relative ease. Nano Flex Xtra Dry fabric is sewn to the upper bib, thighs, and the rear of the legs, so you'll stay dry and maintain body heat to maximize winter performance.

The Sorpasso RoS uses Castelli's Progetto X2 Air seamless chamois that is designed peak comfort and performance during long winter base miles. Reflective panels cover the calf zips for added security in low-light riding in the cold mornings, and the Sorpasso RoS is rated for rides ranging from 32-54 degrees F.

  • Go-to training tight for wet winter base miles
  • Third generation NanoFlex sheds water and keeps you warm
  • Anatomically designed paneling for compression and stretch
  • Lie-flat bib straps conform to the riding position
  • Zip calf for form-fitting water protection around ankle
  • Castelli revolutionizes inclement weather gear

How to Measure:
For best results, take measurements over your underwear.
Chest:
Measure under your arms, around the fullest part of your chest.
Waist:
Measure around your natural waistline, keeping the tape a bit loose.
Hip:
Measure around the fullest part of your body at the top of your legs.
Inseam:
Using pants that fit well, measure the crotch seam to the bottom of the leg.

I have a good number of Castelli pieces of bike clothing. As per other reviews, these bib tights are really small and tight. I take Large size in all Castelli and due to warnings from others, I purchased these in a larger XL size. Even doing that, I could hardly fit in them and the bib straps are cut very short. I am only 5’9” and I can hardly stand up straight with them on. Not the predicable sizing I am accustomed to from Castelli.

Trying to decide if I would need a size L or XL? I am 5' 10" and 162 lbs. 32 waist. Any thoughts from users out there? Thanks!

''I am only 5’9” and I can hardly stand up straight with them on.'' Unless you got a defective pair I find that hard to believe, I'm 5'11'' 170-175 lbs, 39'' hips, 33.5'' inseam and L fits as expected, very tight (as expected) but comfortable and the straps are actually not as tight as other bibs I own. Also, one should know that bibs straps are usually tighter when standing, compared to when on the bike in riding position, they're not made to walk around in them, they're primarily made for riding comfortably.

This is a killer pair of bib tights. I was a bit worried that they’d be too small when I first got them but I realized quickly that they are very stretchy and after a couple of times of wearing them, I found that they had actually partially formed to my body shape. Now I feel like they fit better than other bibs I have that were much more expensive. For me, these bib tights do really well as my all around temperature/condition bib tight. I usually don’t ride in them below 35° F as I start to get chilly at those temperatures. But if I do decide to get a bit colder with them, I’ve found that they combine really well with the Nanoflex knee or Leg warmers to create a bib that I can wear at almost any reasonable riding temperature. I love the RoS tech in them that allows you to ride in variable conditions as well, including a bit of rain (not waterproof, but water resistant), and wind. They look super slick and the bib straps on them are barely noticeable. I haven’t had them fold up on me during any of my rides. Overall I think these bib tights are a great match to anyone looking for a bib tight that will do just about everything. They do run very tight, so you may want to get a size up at least from the normal size you would get in other brands.

I have not been a fan of bib tights in the past, usually because of fit. I have tried many brands with disappointing results. These on the other hand fit great. Just enough thermal weight on those cold morning rides These on the other hand stretchy in all the right places. plus they look great too. In fact I even bought a second pair
