Before finding these shoe covers, I was on a quest to find a replacement for Castelli's earlier zippered version of the product. That is, a shoe cover that was aero, light, water-resistant, and super cool! And those covers were awesome until the zipper broke. My search for a replacement was fruitless, with a couple of dead-end products that just didn't make the grade. And then, right here on Competitive Cyclist, I saw Castelli's Slicker pull-on shoe cover. Looks promising. So I decided to take a chance on them. The end result: I am super happy with this product! There is a caveat (more on that in a moment). But this is the one. Nice tight fit, aero, and water rolls right off. Everything I was seeking for the early Fall riding, as well as into Winter (other than the coldest weather). So big thumbs up!

Ok, the caveat. If you buy these covers they do NOT come with info on how to put them on. Based on experience with another brand, here's how: First, put on your socks, then the shoe cover. After that put on your shoes and work the lower part of the cover down and over the shoes. To remove, just reverse the steps. If you do try to pull the covers over your shoes, you'll be disappointed. You would need to be massively strong and will likely wreck the product in doing so.
