Castelli Sempre Jacket - Men's $159.95
Always in Style.
The shoulder seasons can often make it difficult to figure out what to wear on a ride. We obviously want protection from the cold and wind, but would also prefer not having to take a shell on and off if Mother Nature's moody. The Castelli Sempre Jacket is perfect for the cyclist who needs to stay warm and dry while riding on cooler spring and fall days, yet it has design features allowing it to vent and breathe so well, you'll be able to keep this jacket on for the full ride.
The Sempre is extremely lightweight and does an excellent job defending against wind and light precipitation. What makes this jacket unique is Castelli engineered airflow to pass through the jacket so you don't overheat. The DWR Schermo fabric keeps the elements out while the higher air permeability keeps you dry and comfortable even while doing early season efforts or fall 'cross intervals. If the weather does warm up or your efforts overwhelm the jacket, a full-length YKK Vislon zipper dumps heat effectively.
Sempre means always in Italian and Castelli imagines that is how often you will be wearing this jacket. Because of that, the Sempre is form-fitting, clean, and technical with excellent aesthetic appeal. Laser ventilation holes at the collar and rear hem keep the jacket breathable, selective no-sew construction improves the fit and reduces irritation, and covered rear pockets keep essentials secure and further contribute to the clean looks.
Enjoy pure Italian style and comfort on a variety of rides in the Castelli Sempre Jacket.

This is the nicest cycling jacket I've ever owned. From the laser cut vents on the collar and the rear pockets to the little zipper flap and the snug cuffs this jacket is super high-quality. Considering how light and pack-able it is it's noticeably warmer than the Superleggara jacket with more back flap. The sleeves are the right length and I think I have average to slightly better than average reach. The cuffs keep cold air from sneaking into the sleeves and interact well with gloves. The zipper seals up behind the zipper flap and keeps the cold air outside. It's breathable but it can get a bit steamy during hard efforts like hard climbs. This didn't really bother me because I felt like sweating will be an issue on steep climbs regardless of what you wear. The rear pockets are too big, which is either a complaint or a feature depending on your needs. There are just 2 large pockets split evenly on the rear and my phone kind of shuffles around from side-to-side. If you need to store gloves, arm warmers or anything bulky they'll certainly hold whatever you want to carry but smaller items can require digging around. It lives up to it's name as a jacket you can wear all day. I use it as a jacket for rides where I know the sun won't be coming out to play. It works well with a long-sleeve baselayer or armwarmers for multiple layers of warmth/wind blockage. As with all Castelli items, it runs a bit small. I fit between a medium and large in T-shirt sizes but this jacket fits me best as an XL.
