Ruota Full-Zip Jersey

Castelli makes the Ruota Full-Zip Jersey for the cyclist who wants to look great and feel comfortable on their rides. This jersey's ProSecco Micromesh main body fabric wicks moisture to keep you drier when the temps or the tempo rises while the mesh side panels offer additional breathability. The Velocity Rev2 fabric on the sleeves provide a close-to-body fit and its raw-cut endings offer a smooth transition to the skin for better aerodynamics. During the warmer months, you'll certainly appreciate the full-length YKK Vislon zipper that lets you easily open it up and ventilate on steep, perspiration-inducing climbs. On the back of the jersey are three rear pockets for hauling ride essentials and reflective piping increases visibility to motorists in low light.

How to Measure:
For best results, take measurements over your underwear.
Measure under your arms, around the fullest part of your chest.
Measure around your natural waistline, keeping the tape a bit loose.
Measure around the fullest part of your body at the top of your legs.
Using pants that fit well, measure the crotch seam to the bottom of the leg.

Fit didn't work for me

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

I've tried medium and large. One was too short the other too loose around the chest. It may fit you better if you have some muscle, it didn't fit me. I like snug fit. Other than that it seems like a high quality jersey.

Wrong sided zipper

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: Runs small

Typical castelli sizing. I'm 6'2" 215lbs and wear XL shirts, but need to wear a XXXL in Castelli's world (which is fine once you figure out the descrepancy). The only nit is the zipper should be on the right side, but it's on the left.

Weird fit

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: Runs large
  • Size Bought: M

Large was way too loose on me so I tried medium. Fits a little more snug but still so loose I returned it. Sleeves are good but around my chest and waist not at all, also it's too short. I have 3 Castelli jerseys bought few years back and I they fit me very well. This one doesn't, seems like a nice solid jersey if it fits you.

I am 5'7 and 145lbs.. I have heard that Castelli runs smaller like Italian companies.. never owned an italian brand. What size is best for a comfortably snug fit?

I am 5’6, 138, inseam 28, with a longer torso. I have multiple castelli and PI, items, ss, ls, jackets, etc I wear a medium in both. I do not have this particular item yet.

Typical Castelli

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: XL

I have a thin build with long legs and a short torso. While I love Castelli gear it has always run small in size for me. One minor annoyance is every Castelli jersey I have tends to pooch out at the front waist area.

Runs Short

  • Size Bought: XL

I have bought Castelli before. This item runs close to correct size around the chest but for us tall folk, forget about it-- too short.

Great Jersey

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Large

I love this jersey. I got one in every color I like it so much. What I like about this jersey specifically is the longer arms come down to my elbows which means more sun protection and less sunscreen I have to apply. Also, the arm material has a raw cut edge and very soft material which is really comfortable to wear. Also worth mentioning is the pocket contstruction is really good. Not too stretchy to where it will sag if its loaded up but the material is not too stiff either. Just right. Sizing wise this jersey is true to size. NOT the typical "size up one for Castelli" Unless you are like many enthusiasts who either knowingly or unknowingly wear your jersey a size too large from how a jersey is meant to fit so it can do its job properly. I wear XL Castelli bottoms always and bounce between XL and Lg on Castelli tops depending on the model. This one I went with size LG at 5'11'' 175lbs. I hope this helps with your purchase decision!

New Favorite Jersey

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: 3XL

I've been looking to buy a Castelli jersey and finally took the plunge on this one. I'm 6'1" with a 50 inch chest and this 3XL jersey fits great. It's not roomy, but it's not tight like a Rapha aero cut jersey. It's cut longer than some of my other jerseys and the pockets are long enough to fit my Oneplus 6T without a problem. My only gripe is the bunching that occurs around the zipper right above and below the chest stripe. I've been trying to remedy that no avail. It is what it is, but I'll buy another one in another color.
