Description

Icy cool.

Castelli's Prosecco Ice Sleeveless Base Layer was constructed from its namesake Prosecco Ice fabric. This light, stretch material fits like a second skin so it's barely noticeable under a jersey. This heat-activated fabric also provides a cooling effect by transferring warm moisture away from your skin to keep you cool and dry.

What's more impressive is that the print is dynamic, meaning that it actually disappears where heat transfer is occurring — you'll see it working. Additionally, the Prosecco Ice features a UPF of 50+ to shield your skin from harmful rays of the sun. The sleeveless cut fits effortlessly under your jersey, and an extended length tucks neatly into your shorts.

The Castelli Prosecco Ice Base Layer - Sleeveless - Men's is available in six sizes from X-Small to XX-Large and in the color White.

  • Prosecco Ice fabric
  • Dynamic heat-transfer graphics
  • UPF 50+

Great warm weather base layer

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: large

I have owned a couple of warm weather base layer pieces from Castelli, but this one is far and away the best! Mush more comfortable then older versions with more stretch and a much lighter feel--like you don't even notice its on. Great wicking and keeps you nice and cool on hot summer days. Needs to fit snug in order to work properly.

Love it!

This base layer is as advertised...... Icy Cool. I was skeptical if this shirt would live up to its description. It does and then some. I wear this shirt under all of my "summer" jerseys now. It does keep you cool. I would definitely recommend this shirt for a summer base layer. Especially if you can get it on Sale..... no brainer.
Remember this is a Castelli shirt, size up!

It does what it's supposed to do

I was skeptical this would work as well as advertised, but it does. I live in an arid and hot part of the southwest, with temps going into the 90's regularly. I even wore this on a ride that was 110 degrees at parts, and it definitely helped keep me cooler. Typical for Castelli, be sure size up to fit.

Surprised by how well it works

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: Large

My first ride wearing this was a sunny 97 degree afternoon with 68% humidity. I did not expect this base layer to make much of a difference in those conditions, but I was totally wrong! There was a noticeable cooling effect during my ride which made it relatively comfortable. I had no idea such advanced technology exists.

My only complaint is that the large fits a bit tight around my beer gut which made the shirt slide up a little bit and create some sort of muffin situation. Such is life.

Dry+Kool base layer simple and effective😁

Go to, everyday base layer.

This is my go to everyday base layer. I wear one for every ride from spring all the way thru late fall. It pretty much disappears once i start riding. I have 5 that have been in rotation for about 18 months. Washed after every ride and hung to dry. They are still holding up great, no odor, no discoloration. Very comfortable.

Ok Base Layer

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I purchased the Core Mesh at the same time as this. The fit and cut is better then the Core Mesh. It has a lower neck line and a larger neck opening. Overall feel the Core Mesh does a better job keeping me cool and dry especially on the hotter days. That base layer is my go to for hotter and longer rides and the Ice is for shorter or cooler rides.
I think it does an ok job but the value and performance of the Core Mesh is better if you can stand the neck line and fit.

Love this base layer

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This is going to be my new everyday hot weather base layer, I might have to buy a second one. It does a great job of keeping me dry and cool. I've used it both road and mountain biking during training and races and its been great. I wear a Castelli medium jersey so I ordered this in a medium and it fits as expected, nice and tight and doesn't bunch up under my bibs or jersey.

Nice Summer Base Layer

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I was BLOWN away by how cool and comfortable the base layer that's part of the Endurance Jersey was. I was trying to find that base layer as a stand alone item, but they don't sell it separately as of yet. This is the closest thing. Works well. It's soaking wet when I take it off and it does keep me cooler than no base layer at all. I tried the mesh one but the crew neck was too high and not comfortable at all. This is light weight and barely noticeable. Until they come out with the other item as a stand alone base layer, this is the one for me. Recommend it.
