Meno + Wind Bib Tight

Gusty fall days can add windchill to sunny mornings, dropping temps down near freezing. While it can be tempting to layer up with all of your hardest winter-ready gear, a proper shell from the wind is all you really need to keep your temperature up, and Castelli makes a strong argument with the Meno + Wind Bib Tight. These cold-weather savvy tights are built to withstand temps from the mid 40's all the way down to freezing, thanks to their AirFlex Thermo fabric that combines a soft, brushed backing to trap in heat, with a windproof outer that slices through those icy gusts. The back ads in a touch of water protection, with Nano Flex Xtra Dry fabric to offer you splash resistance against wheel spray and showers, helping maximize your warmth on the ride.

For long miles in the saddle, the Kiss Air2 chamois is employed at the seat. This Kiss Air2 uses a higher density foam than the previous Kiss Air pad, and the softest ever next-to-skin fabric on top for elevated comfort . The dual-density, infinitely variable thickness of the pad helps damp jarring vibrations from your ischial zones with maximum thickness, while tapering to moderate thickness under the perineum to reduce pressure. Comfort is taken one step further with an anatomical shape that's designed to create a perfect interface to your body when you're putting down the power and going full-gas.

  • Windproof tights for taking on harsh and blustery rides
  • AirFlex Thermo fabric traps in heat, keeps wind out
  • Stay dry from wheel spray and splashes with Nano Flex Xtra Dry back
  • KISS Air2 chamois absorbs jarring forces, elevates comfort
  • Mesh bib straps allow for perspiration to escape while you ride
  • Reflective accents at lower leg boost visibility in low light

Great Fit - Great Long Leg Riding Gear

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: XL

Very nice fit.
The butt pad is very comfortable no chaffing.
Very wind resistant.
My first ride was in weather about 33 F degrees. I was very comfortable, Did not get cold.
The front is not as high as some other Castelli longs or bibs, and I found them to be very form fitting. I chose the XL because I have a stocky body frame at 5'11" and they are a good fit. No bunching. Very comfortable for long rides on cold days.

Best looking bib tights

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I've ridden these in 0C/32F in 17kph/20mph wind for two hours and I was kept warm! I'm 183cm/6"1' weighing 77kg/170lbs and S fits nice and tight on me. I also tried on the following: (i) Gore Wear C7 Gore Windstopper Pro Bib Tights+; (ii) Gore Wear C5 Thermo Bib Tights+; (iii) Pearl Izumi PRO Pursuit Thermal Cycling Bib Tight (all size M which fit perfect). They were nice but, in the end, I chose castelli because I thought they looked the best. The others were just too busy for me.

Great tights

  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: XL

I have only wore them once so far but I am very impressed. Just took a 2 hour ride at 33 degrees and never had a hint of being cold. Would have rode longer if my toes could've handeled it. They need to make socks out of this stuff. Size wise the XL fits me perfect. Nice and snug. Just for reference, I lift weighs at least 3 times per week and am built more like a football player than a cyclist. I measured my hips and ordered the size per the size chart. Don't worry about what the size says above your correct measurement size. All my cycling clothes have at least 1 X in front of every size.

My Go To Tights

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: XXL

I've worn these about a dozen times in temps from the low 40's to the low 50's. I find them warm and comfortable across that range. And prefer them over my more expensive Assos bibs. They're a real value. And even better, the length is excellent. I have a 34" inseam and these are just the right length. Something I typically don't find when buying tights.

Nice and warm

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

The lowest I’ve worn them so far is 28 degrees with 15 mph winds no issues. Very comfortable and I stayed nice and warm. I’ve worn the at 28 degrees with 15 mph winds and I stayed warm. I wear an XL in all Castelli clothing except the winter wind stopper. I don’t believe there is as much stretch with this amount of wind stopper. This is based on other winter bibs I bought in the past. These bibs are consistent with this. I’m 6’2” 220 lbs and they fix great.
