Goccia Jacket

Castelli pads their winter apparel lineup with the Goccia Jacket, a foul weather, wind and waterproof shell with an enhanced stretch for an aerodynamic fit. However, the Goccia occupies a similar space as does Castelli's Idro jacket, without the hefty price tag. With a PU windproof membrane covering fully waterproof, Tempesta Stretch fabric, the Goccia is a minimal yet highly effective design. Castelli forgoes pockets to reduce seams and potential areas of weakness. The Goccia retains a smaller overall footprint to still be packable into a jersey pocket in case the sun begins to shine on your way to the top of the climb.

Castelli's critical goal was to maintain an appearance similar to their all-purpose winter jackets, which is reflected well in the Goccia. It looks like a standard winter-riding jacket, not a rain-specific barrier or wrinkled wind jacket, so you'll feel right at home on and off the bike.

Great product but it runs small

Familiarity:
I returned this product before using it

This is a great cold weather jacket, never wore it on an actual ride. It runs small especially on the arms. Get a size bigger than your usual size.

Great Jacket

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Size Bought:
XXL
Weight:
204

Just used it for the first time the other day on a ride in the low 50's and I was plenty warm with just a sleeveless base layer. It was sunny though. The wind proofing works great. Luckily I haven't had to use the waterproofing yet. As others have said the arms are quite tight. I feel like if I flexed too much I could blow them out but they are somewhat stretchy. I actually don't mind them being tight because they don't flutter in the wind. I would recommend this jacket. I put true to size because I have several Castelli jackets and jerseys and always get XXL.

Don?t use jersey size for the jacket

Familiarity:
I returned this product before using it

Runs very small, the sleeves wouldn?t even go over my forearms

Great jacket but snug

Familiarity:
I've used it several times
Size Bought:
XXL
Weight:
225

I'm 6' and 225 lbs with a bit of a gut, got an XXL, should probably have gotten 3XL. As mentioned by previous reviewer arms are very tight, and my arms are not big. I have to turn arms inside out to get off and should probably put it on that way. I don't think I could get the arms on whilst sweaty. Body is snug but reasonable. Once you wrestle this thing on and start riding the merits become obvious. The material is fantastic, wind proof but very breathable. It regulates my temperature really well while keeping the chill out. I would gladly buy this material on other garments with a more realistic fit. Haven't used in the rain yet. I layer under it for fat tire riding and it works great. If Castelli made a "recreational" cut version its easily 5 stars. We're not all built like racers, some of us are just trying to stay in shape.

Skinny Arms

Familiarity:
I returned this product before using it

This seems like a very well made and comfortable jacket, but the arms are so skinny I couldn't even get it on. And my arms aren't by any means screaming that I go to the gym; they are very average. You kinda need to be a spider (or have a slender, typically cyclist body frame) for this to work. If you are an average built individual like I am, this probably won't work.
