The Castelli Fondo Jersey offers an effective soft-wicking polyester layer to provide warmth and chilly weather protection without being overly complicated. Heading out off the start line, the Fondo’s rating of 57-68 degrees F keeps you from shivering before the whistle, and the lack of a wind front barrier allows you to fine-tune the protection you need by adding a light-weight wind vest. The full-length zipper helps regulate body heat once you get deeper into the miles, and three rear pockets are on board to stash snack and equipment.

Awful idiotic fit

Castelli user for decades and whoever sewed this thing needs to lose their job. While the Jersey material is great, the fit is bonkers. The sizing makes no sense whatsoever coming from standard US sizing or even Castelli's own EU sizing. The sleeves on the XL are 6 inches longer than my arms (I'm 6'2, 190). The height above the abdomen on the L goes to my belly button and the sleeves are still large. Yet the back is fine. The sleeves on the 2XL are maybe 8 inches longer than my hands and the fit is good. But the sleeves - idiotic. This is simply an idiotically sewn jersey and shows a major lack of any quality control or sizing. Awful.

Great jersey that can be worn alone on cool days or as a base layer when it gets colder. I use it a lot with a vest for early am rides. Soft fleece on the inside is warm and comfortable and the fit is typical Castelli--a little small but fits really well.

The long sleeve jersey had nice material and design. Cool pockets for storage and breathable. Had to return it as the Medium size was too tight across the belly and chest--too short. I'm 5'9, 165 lbs and in good shape. Order up a size!
