Great feeling bibs

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: XXL

Love the way these feel. Great material. Excellent fit albeit snug. The labeling wears off after a few washes so loses one star for this.

Inexpensive and built to stay that way

  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: Medium

Runs just a touch small. Fit didn't work for my body type, my opinion is that they're probably more made for a thinner/lankier rider. Chamois is pretty rudimentary but would probably work for a season of moderate riding. These would be a great purchase as an entry level bib for a youth rider but not a mid to upper level cyclist.

Poor leg gripping

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

UPDATE: I changed my review to one star from 3 as I've come to the conclusion that these are about the worst bibs I've ever used. Not only do the legs ride up, this then causes serious bunching on your upper inner thigh (groin area) that chafes you even after about 30 minutes. I guess I waited to long to decide this as I'm now outside the return window for used items for a store credit - I'll know for next time a product doesn't live up to its description. It's such a shame as every other Castelli item that I own has been great.

PREVIOUS REVIEW:
I really wanted to like these bibs. I have several other Castelli products and love them. However, while I felt the small size fit best on my legs (tight enough so they didn't ride up), the suspenders were way too short for my body to the point they were digging uncomfortably into my shoulder (so I sent them back). The medium fit better for my torso, but they ride up my leg as they are either not tight enough or have a poor leg grip system. I'll be back to my Louis Garneau bibs that have a far superior leg gripping system, even though they don't look as stylish.

I experienced the exact same thing. Lesson learned. From now on I will avoid anything that "fits small"

Seams are separating.

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: Large

I ordered this bib and the size runs small. I have used it primarily on my indoor trainer because the leg gripper comes very high up my leg. But even with that, I have had two or three threads come loose on the seems as well as the leg gripper came of (left leg).

Leg gripper adhesive failure

  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Small

I’ve great luck with Castelli as you should $$ However, in this case leg gripper on right leg adhesive failed on the first ride pretty bummed. I should have done more research. Hope this helps

Not a fan!

Returned. Not up to the Castelli standards that I’m used to. The leg grippers slid up my legs. They run small! Order up a size.

    Nice Bibs

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

    Nice pad, perfect fit
It runs a bit small so I would recommend to order 1 size up than usual.

    Great bibs for the price!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: Large

I first bought these because I was looking for an inexpensive bibs for a new jersey that I bought. They feel just as good as some of my nicer bibs. I first bought a medium since that is my usual race fit size but they were too small so I returned them for the large which fit me really well.

    excellent fitting bib short

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: medium

these fit great, I'm 5'9" 155 and the medium fits perfectly. They don't move once on and the chamois is just the right amount of soft.

Hi Chris - what is your waist size? I'm 5'8, 145, with a 29-30 inch waist and I'm unsure if the S or M is the right fit.

How are the "leg grippers" attached? I loved my previous evoluzione shorts, but I and many others had problems with the leg grippers becoming unglued. Did Castelli solve this issue with the evoluzione 2's?
