Espresso GT Glove

We've all been underprepared on winter rides only to be found huddling warm coffee in the cafe's corner booth, waiting for life-signs to return to frigid fingers. Thankfully, Castelli wants every winter ride to be enjoyable, and without regret, so the Espresso GT Glove is designed to protect down to 25-degrees F in the rain or the snow. Gore-Tex Infinium, which is becoming a staple in Castelli's premium, winter cycling gear, creates a waterproof lining for when the forecast is unavoidable. Trusted PrimaLoft insulation keeps a warm layer of air around fingers and wrists mile after mile through the frost-covered country roads, while the enhanced grip on the palms helps maintain a confident connection to the bars. And pulling up to the café, the easy on, easy off zipper improves upon a traditional hook-and-loop wrist closure design.

Like others have stated the silicone grip on the palms began to fall off after first few rides and continue to do so. I’m about average cold tolerance and these are comfortable to about 35 degrees also varies a few degrees depending on how hard you’re going and how fast your blood is moving. Fit and comfort are pretty good and the zipper action is nice. Good wind resistance and hands haven’t gotten wet yet in snow or moderate rain.

Decent....not great.....gloves

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

I bought these gloves for winter riding. They're comfortable, afford decent range of motion, are warm to around 35F, and aren't overly bulky. The zipper is a really nice feature if you'll be needing to take the gloves off and put them back on, especially after your hands get sweaty from your workout. Once your hands do get wet, though, they'll get cold and stay that way as the gloves do not wick moisture well. Also, the rubber grippy material on the fingers began wearing off within two rides and continues to do so. I would have expected better performance and durability of materials for the price.

Sure warm gloves. Actually too warm for mid-40's to mid-50s, even tho my fingers get cold easily. Fingers were long enough in XXL, which is unusual.

I have worn Castelli gloves for commuting for several years during Chicago winters. I replaced a pair that were in good condition because I wanted to see if the Goretex was warmer. Initial impressions seem that the gloves are warmer especially on windy days. I am only out for 45 minutes on the coldest days and they are holding up well. I can't talk to the quality and durability yet as I am only a few weeks into my winter riding schedule, but if they are like my other Castelli gloves, they should last.

Bought in October but didn't start using until mid November. Have ridden with gloves 32 times according to Strava. Rubber grips rubbing off on left thumb and palm, stitching frayed on right glove. Super disappointing for a $100+ pair of gloves. Moved to Ohio from Miami, FL. This was my first experience using a winter glove and i wanted to get a quality one due to change in temp. Wear and tear is much too pronounced for less than 2 months of use.
