Give your feet the protection they deserve.
When you're riding in windy conditions, your feet need a little protection too. That's why Castelli dreamed up the Duo Windstopper Sock. Windstopper X-Lite fabric prevent wind chill from freezing your dogs, ultralight construction fits nicely with your shoes, and flat seams prevent discomfort on your all-day rides.

- Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
The bottom half of these socks were way thinner than the windstopper top and was somewhat see through. The small was also a funky fit and on the big side for my size 7 women's feet. They were not formfitting nor did they move with my feet and was returned immediately.
works well but not a stopper
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Way this fits over your socks loosely you should wear it when shoes cover is used during cold temperature rides to protect your toes from cold wind. If temperature drops sub freezing point, I rap my toe area with Aluminum foil over the socks and put on duo windstopper socks for extra Protection…but its not a Stopper! Also it does not stretch as norm cycling materials so be cautious when putting them on.
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
These socks are exactly as advertised. They provide an extra layer to block the wind. They do not work as well as overshoes, but work well for temperatures where your toes might get cold but you are too lazy to wear shoe covers. Great for temps from 35 - 70 degrees.

I can't seem to find sizing info for the socks. Anybody have a link?
Nicely made. Expensive.
I ordered these after concluding that overshoes were not really doing the trick. These are expensive for the what they are - socks. The bottom of the sock is so thin, I have to be careful not to rip them putting them on.They do seem to be blocking the wind which is what they are designed to do. Wearing them on top of some rather thick Assos socks, in SIDI shoes with PI cyclone toe covers, they have been keeping my feet warm from temps down to 35F so far.My one major complaint is that the tube part of the sock as it transitions to my leg, is really loose I wish it were a lot tighter to make a windproof seal. These are basically a made in italy gore product with both Gore logos & a Castelli logo stamped on it.
