Tri to the core.
The slim, aerodynamic fit, quick-drying properties, and gentle compression of the Pace 3 material that Castelli's Core Tri Shorts are made of is just the first chapter in a whole book describing their triathlon suitability. They also incorporate Castelli's speed hooks, which allow you to link the back of the shorts to compatible jerseys for a fit that mimics a body suit's aerodynamics without the corresponding restriction of movement.
The Kiss3 Tri seat pad is also designed with triathlons in mind, and it's the same insert used in Castelli's Rosso Corsa line. It eliminates any excess material for a minimalist chamois that maintains the support you need on the bike while all but disappearing during the swim and the run. Its soft outer layer stretches to move with you whether swimming, running, or cycling, and it's minimal bulk also makes it the fastest drying chamois in Castelli's line, so you'll be riding dry by the time you leave T1.
If your Core Tri Top's two pockets runneth-over with tubes and CO2, the Core Shorts' rear envelope pocket gives a bit more room for easily-accessible gels so you don't have to resort to strapping a parachute-shaped bento box to your top tube or tucking them into your leg bands. The latter benefit is especially welcome, since the Core Shorts feature a lie-flat elastic leg band, which grips for a secure fit without creating a transitional ridge to catch the wind.

- How to Measure:
- For best results, take measurements over your underwear.
- Measure under your arms, around the fullest part of your chest.
- Measure around your natural waistline, keeping the tape a bit loose.
- Measure around the fullest part of your body at the top of your legs.
- Using pants that fit well, measure the crotch seam to the bottom of the leg.
