Description

Onward and upward.

Jumping on the bike knowing you've got a full day of huge vertical gains ahead of you takes a special kind of motivation, and if you've got it, kudos. But even if you're all sorts of jazzed up to earn a few new PR's in your local hill climb or training ride, a little extra encouragement to get out there in the morning never hurts. The Castelli Climber's 2.0 Full-Zip Men's Jersey delivers in both minimalist aesthetics and function, with an aerodynamic design working to reduce drag so you can ride faster, with less effort, and stay cool while you do it.

Inspired by the relentless alpine climbs of the World Tour circuit, Castelli used lightweight StradaPro 3D polyester and Flusso 4D mesh to make the jersey as breathable as possible when you're riding on hot, energy-sapping days. The whisper-thin fabrics keep sweat moving off your skin so you stay as dry and cool as possible while climbing. As the jersey is cut in an aero silhouette, don't be surprised to find it following a next-to-skin fit that feels tight when you're wearing it off the bike. Castelli kit is known for being tight across the chest and shorter in length than other brands, but it will all make sense when you're tucked into a riding position and the jersey falls in place to follow your every body movement in the saddle.

  • Tackle your hottest, highest rides in this climbing jersey
  • Form-fitting cut mirrors your body movements in the saddle
  • Fit modeled closely after the wind-cheating Aero Race jersey
  • Airy fabrics wick moisture and facilitate ample ventilation
  • Clean raw-edge mesh arm grippers contribute to minimalist style
  • 3 supported rear pockets have just enough space for ride fuel

Pretty nice design

This is a very good looking jersey, it ran a little bit small, so I'd say probably you should get +1 size

    Best for Hot Weather

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: XL

Compared to Alp-X by Gore and Giordana (Astana 2017 official), this is the coolest jersey, period. This was tested under similar conditions in Miami weather in october (85 to +90 F). The quality of the fabric is excellent, all three pockets kept a water full 21oz Camelbak bottle without any problem. No dying whatsoever in the first had wash even considering mine is the black/orange. I generally use Medium but Castelli sizing requires Large or as in this case XL. Even for a snug race like fit.

    Really Light and Breathable

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
    • Fit: Runs small

I really like Castelli stuff, and this one was no different! Very pleased with the quality materials and craftsmanship that goes in to their products. I would probably size up, as these tend to run small

    Newer jerseys cut even smaller

    • Fit: Runs small

I have worn Castelli jerseys for years. The last two I have purchased seem to be smaller than ever. I have always worn XL. The last two have needed be XXL. If you're a long time Castelli buyer, size up one more for this jersey. I am not fat at all. Chest won't stay zippered up.

    Castelli

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: medium

Fits perfect: I'm 5'10", weigh 62.6kg. I like my stuff snug. This is just right.

    Predictable Fit

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size

Great jersey. I bought 2 of these. The comments about "size up" or "2 sizes up" should be translated as "pay attention to the size chart". I have a 41" chest/33" waist and the XL fits perfectly, as the size chart suggests. I can wear an M in some brands and an L in most brands. I think some riders just don't want an L or an XL in their closet, which is a weird hangup.

Castelli is notorious for their inaccurate sizing. I'm 5' 10", 150 lbs, 32 inch waist, and the XL Climbers Jersey is very snug.
Yes, pay attention to the size chart, and then order at least one size up. My XL says it's for a minimum 43" chest, which is way off the mark.
I have lots of Castelli jerseys, base layers, and a Castelli jacket. All are XL, I'm a medium in any other brand.
