Just a skosh north of us in Ogden, Utah, ENVE weaves its own script with some of the finest carbon fiber craftsmanship you can find. This wheel and component manufacturer took the industry by surprise last year with its fully-custom Custom Road bike, and now the journey continues with their first production road bike, the Melee. It’s an aero road bike with impressively customizable fit options because, well, as ENVE says, “fit is fast.”
ENVE’s “chassis concept” goes faster by prioritizing fit with five SES™ AR handlebar widths and six Aero Road Stem length options, and a frame designed to optimize airflow over their own SES wheel lineup.
ENVE dials in the entire system by not only creating aerodynamically-optimized fork and wheel combos, but also crafting frame-size-specific fork rakes to optimize Melee’s handling characteristics for every rider.
Enhancing airflow is ENVE’s own cam-tail seatpost, held in place by a flush-bolt design. Along with the bar and stem, the seatpost is another component you’ll size to your specific fit.
Under Melee’s luminescent silver exterior are hints of ENVE’s expert carbon craftsmanship. The monocoque frame is devoid of excess weight and zoned for efficiency in any wind.
Melee is ENVE’s first-ever production bike, and surpasses their fully-custom Custom Road bike in aero-efficiency at both 20mph and at 30mph—exactly the range we expect most of you will be racing and training.
