Mini Mule 1.5L Backpack

They've waited in the wings, watching you rule the trails as you pulled them behind your bike in the trailer. For years, they've anticipated the moment when they'd be big enough to ride, and that time has finally come. And in the mean time, let the CamelBak Kids' Mini Mule Hydration Backpack help them stay hydrated as they ride paved bike trails or learn the ropes on rolling dirt paths. The 1.5-liter Crux reservoir makes it easy to stay hydrated, while a small front pocket provides storage for their essentials, like rocks they find along the way or a small tube of sunscreen.

  • Keep little riders going with this hydration backpack
  • 1.5L Crux reservoir is easy to clean
  • Adjustable mesh harness assures breathability
  • Sternum strap whistle provides an added safety measure
  • Dual compression straps stabilizes the load
  • Small front pocket keeps necessities close

Ordered these for Christmas and we finally filled them up for the first time in March. Our kids were pretty pumped to take their new CamelBakMini on a real hike. My wife and I went to fill them up and…wait for it…they both leaked because there wasn’t a good seal. We came home and tried to return them to Backcountry. But we had “used” them so it became a warranty issue. Emailed the warranty department and they gave us the run around telling us to reach out to the manufacturer. I purchase things from Backcountry and other large outdoor retailers because they go to bat for the customers so we don’t need to deal with a warranty department. It is becoming increasingly apparent with Backcountry and others that that is no longer the case.

It is good !

Good quality and for the price, one of the best options.

So much wasted potential storage space

I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

There is no big main pocket. We bought these for our kids to take hiking but there is no pocket big enough to hold their lunches or snacks. There’s plenty of room for one, but the zipper on the top goes to a really small storage pocket... why? The other kid hydration packs like Osprey and Outdoor Products have one. And so does most camel packs I own. I can’t figure out why they wouldn’t include one in these. It severely limits their utility

Adult features, kid size

I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

Awesome pack for kids that are ready to carry their own water and snacks on hikes. Fits the 6 year old I got it for perfectly, since it has lots of adjustability it should work for many years to come, and would likely work for small adults as well. Great small organizational pockets and a nice stuff pocket with compression straps to stuff a jacket into just in case. All the quaility you would expect from an adult camelbak product but perfectly built for kids. My one gripe is that the crux reservoir included with this does not have the quick disconnect feature at the bladder/hose connection, but its a small gripe and it does still have the shutoff at the bite valve.

Perfect for my 6 year old

I've used it several times

My 6 year old son uses this for biking/short hikes. It doesn't fit much, but it is perfect for short bike rides and hikes.

Great for the kids

I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Bought these for my kids and they love them. Lots of cool color schemes to choose from made it nice for one boy and one girl. Size feels about right, enough to carry their own stuff but not enough to bog them down.

Great Buy

I've put it through the wringer

This CamelBak is perfect for kids. I bought two of them for my nephew's and they absolutely love them! One of them is 3 years old (it's a little big but he can grow into it) and my other nephew is 8 years old. Perfect gift, can't go wrong with a CamelBak!

Also Great for Adults

I've used it several times

I received this as an early birthday present, and have used it running and hiking. I hadn't found a comfortable way to stay hydrated during long runs and hikes without carrying too much weight. This Camelbak allows me to carry water and the core essentials in a compact pack. For sizing reference, I'm 5'2" and 110lbs. The adjustable straps don't chaff during exercise, and allow the backpack to stay snug to the body without bouncing around. The sternum strap contributes to the snug fit, and I like the whistle safety feature as an added bonus. The water crux itself is very easy to clean, fill, and attach. Great hydration pack that doesn't add much weight.
