Racing Geometry

• Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I have this saddle on my single speed commuter bike. It's great for riders who who racing saddles on their road bikes. It's not as narrow as a typical racing saddle, but it is narrower than the B17.

In terms of break in, the saddle was comfortable right out of the the box. This is in comparison to my racing saddle, which is rock hard. This saddle is not hard, but it is not cushiony either. If you want something more cushiony, a Brooks will take some time to soften. That being said, after a month or so of riding, it has started to feel more broken in.

It was easy to install and adjust, but that is more a reflection of the seat post and clamp. However it is a standard two rail saddle.

I would certainly recommend this to a roadie who also wants a hipster commuter bike.

Love this saddle!

I had a B17 back in the day, and I liked it, but didn't love it. I decided to take a chance with this model, as it fell between the standard B17, and the more race-worthy Swallow. I have not been disappointed. Almost no soreness, after many long rides. Glad I bought it. Love the look, too.

Beefy

I like it, but I thought I would point out the leather with chrome rails weighs 510 grams as per Brooks website which is not mentioned on this site. The titanium version is 370g.

Smells fantastic

The aroma this saddle gives off is wonderful. A bit knotty with a touch of sweetness, and a hint of cow. After a long day of grundel grinding, nothing is more satisfying then running my nose across the ol' Heritage and taking a big whiff.
