So Nice

I've put it through the wringer

I'm a big brooks fan, and this is my second Brooks saddle. My other saddle is the classic B17, which has 1000+ miles on it. This saddle I received a few months ago, and have probably put 250 miles on it so far. Despite being the same profile, I've found that this saddle has taken longer to break in, and in fact I sitll consisder myself to be in the break in process. It was definitely a bit more rigid and uncomfortable out of the box, but gets more and more comfy every day. Having owned another B17 previously, I know that sky is the limit in terms of the break in and comfort. Last point, you can absolutely feel the springs in the rear. It does seem like kind of a gimmick at first, but it works. I absolutely love the extra cushion on my commute, and look forward to taking it out on dirt road tours. Last, last point. The seat is gorgeous. I went with the antique brown and black steel, and it just looks so good. Personal opinions may vary, but I love the classic style.

Heads up - this is a heavy saddle, so don't buy it if you're looking to keep things light. That said, this thing is sooo awesome. The saddle is remarkably comfortable after a little work breaking it in, and you're going to be hard pressed to find something classier looking. The saddle comes with a packet of Brooks' leather treatment, and you should definitely follow their directions for applying it, then apply once or twice a year following. If taken care of, this thing will last forever.
