Sprint Fullsuit

When your friend convinced you to start doing triathlons this summer, they neglected to mention the large pile of gear you'd need to invest in before race day. Cut corners on an "aero" helmet and tri shoes this early in the game, but listen up when your excitable friend advises you to invest in a wetsuit. Even if you don't care much about times and splits during your first race season, an entry-level wetsuit like the Blueseventy Sprint Fullsuit has the power to make your minutes in open water far more enjoyable.

As you rush into the water amidst a flock of thrashing bodies, the Sprint's Yamamoto neoprene will immediately help you into an efficient body position. While you take your first strokes, its 3-4-4 design, which refers to the thickness of neoprene around your core and lower half, lifts your hips and encourages body roll to help you expend less energy moving forward in the water. Flexible 1.5mm arm panels preserve mobility as you bring your arms in and out of the water, while an exterior coating on the suit improves your glide. Though not quite as flexible or buoyant as top-end models, the Sprint's design is modeled after its higher-end siblings, and it provides a palpable advantage in the water compared to your old swimsuit.

  • Enjoy your swim leg far more with this entry-level suit
  • Design improves buoyancy and efficiency in the water
  • 3-4-4 neoprene pattern lifts hips and encourages body roll
  • SCS coating limits drag and improves glide as you swim
  • Low collar reduces chafing and preserves mobility
  • Easy-out ankles help you move through T1 quickly
  • Updated arm gussets improve upper body mobility

Awesome first wetsuit swim!

I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I've tried several wetsuits in the past but ended up not wearing them since they felt so restrictive in the arms. I swam today with this wetsuit and it was awesome - just the right buoyancy so my stroke felt normal and my shoulders didn't feel restricted. I was worried that the cloth (non-neoprene) section under the arms and in other areas would let in water but I couldn't tell at all - in fact, it made the wetsuit more flexible. SO glad I bought this wetsuit and no longer dreading cold water swims!!!
