Outpost Rear World Touring Rack
A multi-day bikepacking tour carrying everything you'll need secured to your frame makes for an admirable quest, to be sure, but having to make frequent stops on the sides of road or and trail to adjust panniers and racks can seriously interrupt your adventure montage. Not to mention, you really can't afford to have your dinner supplies slipping off your frame into a trailside stream. The Blackburn Outpost Rear World Touring Rack will allow you to avoid inconvenient rack malfunctions and preserve your dream of days spent off-the-grid with your bike.
Constructed with durable Easton Scandium and 6061 aluminum, the rack maintains stiffness without weighing your frame down, and it provides you with the option of mounting your panniers low or high. Blackburn included space to attach a light or reflector at the rear and designed the rack with a narrow width to keep weight as close to the center as possible for a stable ride. Once you're packed up, the Outpost can carry up to 55lbs of gear.
- A sturdy rack for carrying all your possessions
- Aluminum frame keeps overall weight low and strength high
- Plenty of mounting options to best suit your set-up
- Light or reflector mount at rear helps you stay visible
- Total carrying capacity of 55lbs

Doesn't fit Arkel bags, likely others
- Familiarity:
- I returned this product before using it
- Fit:
- Runs small
The outpost racks do not have the low enough attachment point necessary for attaching Arkel and likely most other non-blackburn pannier bags. Super annoying to find this out after spending the time to install. Returning.

Solid Rack
This is a sturdy rack for the price. I used to have the Surly Rack which is as beefy as it gets in my opinion and I don't regret sizing down a bit to this one. It will hold as much weight as you need for your commute.

Well built rack for your road bike. Super easy install, and it truly is universal giving you several options to install on your bike. Can really support quite a bit of wait just as long as you’re willing to pedal with it all!

Seriously this thing is beefy. You could load it down until your bike broke. Kidding, kind of.. Fit my Surly Cross check perfectly

Will this rack fit on a 27.5+ fat bike with 17.5cm rear eyelet spacing?

Bought this to put on my specialized turbo to commute to work with and it has been great! Holds my Timbuk2 panniers very well and doesn't flex much at all. The pewter color matches the color of my bike and makes it look oem. The rack is super light weight compared to most.

Sturdy and lightweight, the Blackburn pannier rack is easy to install and does the job! Well worth the extra money over other racks the Outpost rack is not only functional but is stylish also. About to use the front and rear Outpost racks along with my Niner RLT on a 6 day trip on the Divide Trail.
