Description

Insert somewhat humorous cage-fighting reference here

Cheap plastic bottle holsters might hold onto your gear on the road, but the burly Blackburn Mountain Water Bottle Cage was built for pedal-churning rides in the mountains. Oversized aluminum framing secures your water bottle tight so it won't go flying when you float over a rock garden at mach looney.

  • Tough, oversized aluminum cage
  • Several colors to choose from

Not Pink

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Got these on sale and was expecting pink like the reviews, but is a good anodized red. Matches my hubs pretty well. Maybe they had a bad run with the other cages? Looks like red to me and on sale is even better

Nicer than I expected

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

Holds bottles really well, and is lighter than I expected. The red is more pink and the silver is a bit darker when you see it in person (which I liked better anyway.)

Super Sturdy / Colors are a bit off

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

This is a super cheap, lightweight and sturdy bottle cage. Have black ones on my MTB and purchased red ones to match the accents on my gravel bike but they are definitely closer to pink than red... Still gonna roll with them because of how sturdy they are...I will just deal with the teasing from my buddies.

Metal cages allow you to adjust bottle retention to your taste. Simple and effective.

Not silver , dark grey

I got the silver one because the photo shows a very light bright chrome color, the real color is dark grey, total disappointment

Cheap and does the trick.

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

It's a solid water bottle holder that looks cool in the blue color I grabbed for my Bronson. The alloy construction makes it heavier than its carbon or plastic competitors, but it's much cheaper. The extra weight isn't a big deal to riders who don't count every last gram. My bottle sits securely and doesn't bounce around, so it does its job admirably.

Colors; how do they work.

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Bought a few of the red and blue cages just to see if they matched my bikes at all. Well, you get what you pay for. The 'red' is impressively on the pink side of the color wheel. I absolutely would not call it red. The blue is also not close to the photo (shocking, I know). I guess it's more of a light blue, but not too bad. The 'pink' cages are useless to me but also not worth returning. As for do they work? Probably, if you can get past the colors.

Inexpensive and easy

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

I grabbed a couple of these for my commuter bike. They are basic, but what frills do you really need from a water bottle cage? They hold my bottle, and come in sweet colors, which is a win in my book.

Game Changer

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

This so called "bottle holder" does more than just that. It can also hold your dreams, if your dreams were liquid and came in a bottle. Installation was easy. The bottle sits secured to the bike, and did not wiggle around. Military Grade metal for an indestructible holder (I kid). It does the job.
