Blackbird's main intention with this rim is to eliminate pinch-flats and ensure the tire stays sealed no matter what objects it may hit during a ride. To accomplish this, the bead walls feature a hollow box-section profile to remove any sharp edge and create a stronger bead wall without adding any unnecessary weight.
