Get it just right.

Dialing in your suspension is a matter of personal preference, so it helps to have a tool like the Birzman Zacoo Salut Shock Pump with Gauge lying around the garage. Sleek, small, and easy to use, this CNC-machined aluminum pump easily screws onto the Schrader valves in your fork and rear suspension, with Airlock technology that ensures no air is lost when you're disconnecting the valve. It also feature Birzman's CAD blowoff valve, so you can easily let air out when you've pumped a little too zealously. The gauge goes all the way up to a comical 300PSI, because maybe you weigh 1,000lbs, ride like Zink, and have some crazy custom built-suspension that can actually handle that.

Pumpin those Shocks

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Durable and easy to pack shock pump. I've used this on my Santa Cruz Bronson with Roc Shox. This is great for your pack on the trail or your home bike shop. Haven't had any issues with this so far. Nothing earth shattering, just a solid product that does the trick.

BIRZMAN ZACOO SALUT SHOCK PUMP

Well, first of all anybody who owns a MTB needs to a proper shock pump and this one would work fine, nothing spectacular... just a basic utility tool and works well.

    Needs refinement

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Just got this shock pump. So far as getting air into your shock it works like most shock pumps. It has an air bleed valve like most shock pumps.

The issue I have is that unlike the description it doesn't easily screw onto the valve. The valve piece has a very stiff interface with the air hose. This causes the air hose to want to bind and twist as you tighten onto the shock valve. This requires me to hold the hose with one hand and tighten with the other. This is awkward.

    Smooth Like Butter

Yes its a beautiful shock pop. This thing, while compact is extra beefy. It's well built and does not leave you feeling like it's going to fall apart in your hands while you get your fork or rear dialed in. The only downside, if you are a weight weenie, you won't want to throw this in your bag. Leave it at home or in the car.
