- I've put it through the wringer
My 8yo got into mountain biking. When he hits the trails with me, I make him wear a full-face helmet. I knew he would complain about wearing a full face helmet if it wasn't super comfortable. He really likes the helmet. He went over the bars last summer and the helmet kept him protected. Given that I don't let him remove the chin guard when on the trail, I'll prob just buy a helmet without a removable chin guard when buying again. He wears a Bontrager helmet as his tool around helmet in the neighborhood but likes to throw this one on when pulling out ramps. As a quick aside, while he is 8, he does fit the small size. The helmet is true to the size guide.
