BellSuper Wraparound Chinbar
Item # BEL00A1
Half trail helmet, half full-face.
A year or two ago, when you were buying a new helmet, you had to choose between the Bell Super 2 and Super 2R. The R was a little burlier, with a removable full-face chin protector, but you thought "Nah, I'm not that gnarly, I'll just get the trail helmet."
Now, things have escalated and you're wishing you'd sprung for the full protection of the 2R. Out of luck? Not now, seeing as Bell's introducing the Super Wraparound Chinbar, which snaps onto your old Super 2 to turn it into a full-face. It locks on in seconds — you don't even have to take the Super 2 off — and is light enough to carry in your pack for true all-mountain flexibility. The Wraparound Chinbar is compatible with the Super 2, 2R, Super 3, and 3R in case you broke your old chinbar or just want an extra.
- Snaps onto original Super helmet in seconds
- Compatible with Super 2, 2R, Super 3, and 3R
- Ages 5 and older

Disappointed
I ordered a full face helmet. All I received was the chin bar. How do I return this?

Awesome!
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Definitely adds a flexibility the Bell Super helmet. Not fully DH certified, but good for the sketchier parts of general trail riding.

Protection when you need it
- Familiarity:
- I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
This chin guard pops on or off in a matter of a couple seconds. It is light weight enough to have in your pack or strapped to your pack when you don't need it. Compared to traditional full faces, this chin guard offers superior visibility, as well as venting while peddling.

Great idea

Love the idea of having a removable chin strap. It is secure on the helmet and I feel safe taking a tumble with it, only drawback is that it is a little tight on my jaw bone where the padding is.

Snug fit for tight lines

Really like that you can add/remove this chinbar depending on what you are riding; you'll always be comfortable and confident. Snapping this on is relatively simple and is best done with the helmet off your head (although you can do it while wearing the helmet). The fit is snug, almost too tight, but it still remains comfortable. I guess it's just a different feeling than how open/airy the regular Super2 is. While this doesn't hold the same certifications of a true full face, I'd trust it to protect my face in most of the falls I take while riding. Ben brabinowitz@backcountry.com 801-746-7564

I love the adapatability. Figuring out how to carry it up is the only trouble. With a breeze, could even wear it up, but it is warmer. Feel much safer!

Will this work with last years Super All-Mountain?

There is one layer of removable padding in chinbar.
