Why We Built The Hero Dirt Hoodie

We designed the Hero Dirt Hoodie to be the perfect layer for mountain bike rides where we need a little extra coverage. An adjustable hood and zippered arm vents let your body breathe, all while you pedal comfortably in soft nylon fabric that's abrasion-resistant. And with performance stretch for mobility and a wicking finish for moisture management, the Hero Dirt Hoodie will never cramp your ride style. We also borrowed the idea of a rear zippered pocket from jerseys, offering you a secure spot for low-profile essentials.

How to Measure:
For best results, take measurements over your underwear.
Measure under your arms, around the fullest part of your chest.
Measure around your natural waistline, keeping the tape a bit loose.
Measure around the fullest part of your body at the top of your legs.
Using pants that fit well, measure the crotch seam to the bottom of the leg.

This jacket is a great lightweight layer. Perfect for throwing on at the top or before/after your ride. The vents are really smart. My biggest complaint is the hood. It’s too small to not have a ponytail hole. So basically it just serves as a weight to uncomfortably pull the neck backwards. Also the back pockets are nice in theory but cause the same weight problem as the hood. Would love to see a version without a hood!

Used so far mtn biking and ski touring. Love it. I have not used the pockets much yet, but if needed, they can hold some small objects. Size wise,True to size overall , I ordered a small, I can usually wear XS or S, depending on brand , etc. In this, Small was large on me, sleeves were long. XS ordered, perfect, so I could say true to size for the most part. I'm 5'1 and a 1/4 haha, small petite build . Ordered the atlantic deep and metal colors, so far. :)

Unzip the zipper around the neck before you put this thing on or you won’t get it over your head! I love the orange color and it feels like a great light weight hoody and I look forward to testing it on the MTB and hiking trails. The fabric is cozy and I’m stoked on the 3 pockets in the back (one zippered). I don’t love the thumb holes (too small and tight, maybe my arms are too long or something) but luckily I don’t have to use them so it’s a nice option if you’re into that. I’m honestly a bit wary of the zipper quality after the initial impression, they’re kind of dainty, but time will tell. I find the hood a bit small to me but I appreciate that it’s low profile and doesn’t feel like it’s choking me when I’m not using it and it should pair well with a light shell. I usually don’t prefer to have hoods on anything but my shells. I like the fit and length, I have a long torso and this comes right to my hip line. I’d say it’s true to size. I’m usually small/medium. It’s snug but not too tight, it stretches and moves with you which is how I prefer my layers. The orange fabric is a bit sheer if you care about that sort of thing.
