Description

Why We Built The Covert XC Bib Short

To help us grind through longer routes on gravel and singletrack, we prefer the additional support of bib shorts. We designed our Covert XC Bib Shorts with a performance fit to ensure the padded chamois stays right in place for effective cushioning on the trails. We also built in some pretty rad utility features—we complemented the standard tri-pocket layout for bottles with zippered pockets at the thigh and rear for stashing your phone and valuables.

  • Bib shorts provide added support to help reach your mileage goal
  • Spandex and elastane fabrics are extremely pliable for an invisible feel
  • Integrated chamois offers top-level support for extended pedal pushing
  • Six well-placed pockets keep your nutrition and essentials close at hand
  • Silicone leg grippers keep the bibs in place on undulating terrain
  • Synthetic material dries quickly and upper mesh panels breathe with you
  • Integrated UPF 50 sun protection defends against harmful UV rays

Chest:
Measure under your arms, around the fullest part of your chest.
Waist:
Measure around your natural waistline, keeping the tape a bit loose.
Hip:
Measure around the fullest part of your body at the top of your legs.
Inseam:
Using pants that fit well, measure the crotch seam to the bottom of the leg.

Runs Small; Good Chamois

I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Typically I'm a medium but had to exchange for a large. The hips are really narrow, which works for me, but may not for others. The quality and chamois are great. These do have a thicker more durable material than i'm used to with other bibs. I've put about 200 miles so far and no complaints.

The only bib I wear!

I bought these for a 325 mile bike packing trip primarily because they have several pockets and I wanted to avoid going through my pack during stops. I finished the trip and ordered 2 more pair! At one point I had every pocket filled with snacks, including an entire bag of trail mix in the big pocket on the back! During daily use I always keep my phone in the right thigh pocket and credit cards/cash in the zippered left thigh pocket. These bibs are great for carrying a lot whether it’s for one day or one week. I don’t think these are too small, the first try on is tight but I found they’re easy to break in. The only issue I had was when I received my first pair one of the reflective strips was already half torn off.

Runs really small

Somehow the sizing on these is way off. They don't fit my wife. She usually wears medium or large and she couldn't make the XL work. They are particularly tight at the bum/hips. She was bummed too because they feel really nice and she liked the length and style.

Ridiculous

This bib is LAUGHABLY small. I'm a size women's large across all brands, given with a heavier build but still statistically speaking almost always a size Large. However, I could not even get this bib up past my knees. The sizing is so off that it is laughable. I was so confused and thought maybe there's a zipper I missed or something. Nope. This item will not fit - avoid it before you have to pay return shipping. Blegh!

First pair of bibs, and I love ‘em. Much more comfortable than the shorts I have and I love all the pockets for storing stuff. I wear it with a sports bra like the model and the dudes seem to dig it. Warning that it runs small like most cycling clothing (I’m a petite small and I went with a medium.) If they had a different color I’d buy that one too.
