thermobootie.Uno_s7 Shoe Covers

Winter riding isn't a walk in the park. Then again, at freezing temperatures, a walk in the park doesn't really align with its own figurative adage. You need to layer up, and those aero shoe covers that you wore at the crit race this spring aren't going to cut it. Do the right thing and protect your feet with the Assos thermobootie.Uno_s7 Shoe Covers.

At first glance, it becomes obvious that you've never seen a shoe cover quite like the thermobootie.Uno_s7. This is for good reason. In typical Assos fashion, the thermobootie exudes perfection on everything from shape to materials. Starting with the cut, the covers are slender and size specific. This fit aids in keeping out drafts, which with the thermobootie's windproof construction, would be the only way that wind is getting in. The rear fabric section follows up the ankle and provides a next to skin fit that's free from abrasion. Collectively, the two patterns stave off chills a little bit lower than 32 degrees Fahrenheit while retaining a high level of breathability.

For the closure, Assos gave the covers a rear zipper that runs from the heel to above the ankle. The system is durable, and with the draft flap behind the zipper, it's also free from chafing and drafts.

Please note that these covers fall under what Assos calls its ALS ClimaRange Winter 6, or in English, winter. Assos says that they're effective at temperatures a little lower than the point of freezing, but they can also be added to pieces in ClimaRange 7 for temperatures below that.

The Assos thermobooti.Uno_s7 Shoe Covers are available in the color Black Volkanga and in sizes 0 (35-38), I (38-42), and II (43-46). Please note that these are intended for use with road cycling shoes and cleats.

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Size II

I bought a size 2 as to I wear a 44 shoe and the fit was perfect.
I was in need of some booties because the few times I went out in temps in the mid 40's and below my toe covers just didn't cut it.
Started the morning ride in the mid to upper 30's and my feet/toes were kept warm with no issues. Didn't even give it a thought. That's when you know they work and they did their job! Assos just keep giving me reason to only buy their gear !!!

Very Thin for a bootie

Very thin for a bootie claimed to provide coverage to 32 degree's.
Have over socks that are thicker than these. Overpriced

    Best shoe Covers

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size

First, let me say that my feet get cold very easily. It takes me one hour to get warmed up on a ride. And considering a ride only lasts sometimes an hour and a half, sometimes I am getting off the bike as I'm just getting warm. My salesman Brock was awesome. I asked him a lot of questions he recommended this pair of shoe covers. They are much thinner than I am used to. And I am of this sorts that says bigger is better. The shoe covers or lightweight and fit my shoes perfect. My feet are always warm now. My feet start warm and and warm. I highly recommend these shoe covers and I think they are worth The extra money.

    Great Covers

    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Lg for size 44 shoe

Good, snug fit and kept my feet warm in 40 degree F temperatures.
    Nice product.

After 1 yr, how do you like them?

    Good fit, poor zipper quality.

    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Size I for shoes sized 38-42

Snug fit that with accurate sizing provided. Unfortunately, the zipper failed in the middle of the second ride. The slider head went over the top stop mid ride. Unable to press the slider back onto the teeth.

      Size Chart

Be adivsed, that the sizing on the CC website doesn't actually match what is on the ASSOS tag. I ordered a size II for my size 43 shoes based on the sizing above, but the manufacturer's tag has different sizing for the II (44-46). This is the second time I've had this happen where the sizing listed in the options is different than what is actually listed on the products themselves.
