Say goodbye to frozen feet
Winter riding isn't a walk in the park. Then again, at freezing temperatures, a walk in the park doesn't really align with its own figurative adage. You need to layer up, and those aero shoe covers that you wore at the crit race this spring aren't going to cut it. Do the right thing and protect your feet with the Assos thermobootie.Uno_s7 Shoe Covers.
At first glance, it becomes obvious that you've never seen a shoe cover quite like the thermobootie.Uno_s7. This is for good reason. In typical Assos fashion, the thermobootie exudes perfection on everything from shape to materials. Starting with the cut, the covers are slender and size specific. This fit aids in keeping out drafts, which with the thermobootie's windproof construction, would be the only way that wind is getting in. The rear fabric section follows up the ankle and provides a next to skin fit that's free from abrasion. Collectively, the two patterns stave off chills a little bit lower than 32 degrees Fahrenheit while retaining a high level of breathability.
For the closure, Assos gave the covers a rear zipper that runs from the heel to above the ankle. The system is durable, and with the draft flap behind the zipper, it's also free from chafing and drafts.
Please note that these covers fall under what Assos call its ALS ClimaRange Winter 6, or in English, winter. Assos says that they're effective at temperatures a little lower than the point of freezing, but they can also be added to pieces in ClimaRange 7 for temperatures below that.
The Assos thermobooti.Uno_s7 Shoe Covers are available in the color Black Volkanga and in sizes 0 (35-38), I (38-42), and II (43-46). Please note that these are intended for use with road cycling shoes and cleats.
