The short utilizes its regular fit that's slightly less compressive than the Pro Team racingFit but a little snugger than its comfortFit giving this model a little more room for those long days in the saddle. It benefits from development over a 5-year period and receives the S7 genes which pretty much sets the benchmark in performance and comfort.

The main fabric is Type.429 Titanio, used to increase the durability of the bibs and it features its aeroPatterningFenomeno1 design that was created when developing skinsuits for the 2012 Summer Olympics. It consists of a single seam that sits on the rear of the legs letting the fabric wrap around your thighs, providing more comfort and compression. For the upper, the short uses its much-lauded Y7 frame carrier bibTech that employs wider elastic straps for dramatically less pressure on your shoulders and more comfort.

Chamois duty is handled by an office favorite, the mille_S7 insert. Its 8mm of memory foam provides plenty of support in the saddle and the ability to soak up road imperfections. The signature Assos waffle pattern using three-layer foam with perforations make this chamois lighter and more breathable than the previous S5 version, ideal on those long rides. You'll also appreciate its iceColor technology if those long rides are hot as it gives the fabric the ability to reflect sunlight and reduces heat absorption keeping those hard-working muscles cooler. The chamois also uses Assos' goldenGate technology that eliminates the stitching along the legs which allow the insert to move with on big ring grinds of 120+ cadences alike. At the leg openings, minimal superFlat grippers hold the hems in place without any excessive pressure. Last but not least, Assos treats the short with its anti-bacterial odorControl treatment keeping smells at bay and improving the durability of the bib.
