These are a little short in leg length, but seem to be pretty comfortable after 4-5 rides now. They fit well and don’t constrict you anywhere. The chamois is comfortable and the bib straps have a light feel to them. I normally wear Castelli bibs (L) and bought a (M) for this one. If you don’t mind the shorter leg length then you will like these. It’s too short for my liking and generally a few $ more than the Castelli Race bibs I usually buy. Being only the slightest bit more comfortable I’d just stick with Castelli and save a couple $s. I typically ride 2-3hr rides.

I’ll start by recognizing that bibs and chamois are incredibly personal and highly subjective in some ways, while manufacturing quality and consistency are more objective. I personally do not care for the Golden Gate technology, as the fabric on top of the pad does move around a little bit, even though I sized down to ensure a nice, tight fit on my legs. The chamois itself is fine, but definitely does not provide the same long-ride (50+ mile) comfort as some others I’ve tried. The leg compression is great, and the grippers keep the legs exactly where I want them. I also really like the feel of the straps - they do not disappear as some other bibs, but they are wide and comfortable. I do not, however, like the mesh backing, which tends to uncomfortably stick to my body, especially once I’ve worked up a good sweat. My biggest concern is perhaps due to bad luck. I had two pair, and after only a handful of rides (fewer than 200 miles) one pair developed a large spot of pilling/wear pattern where the bibs meet my saddle, while the other looks brand new. For bibs that are in excess of $200 I would expect a long life and durability, but this was not the case. Again, this might have just been bad luck. On the positive side, the customer service at CC is absolutely top notch and they’ve done a great job of making sure I’m happy and have a replacement from a different brand on the way. Certainly not their fault, but they have done a wonder job of trying to remedy the situation.

Thought I'd spend the money to see if the difference in bike wear is worth it and in this case it is. The fit is really well suited to me, and I guess that is the key to any clothing, bike or otherwise, but the Assos bib just went on and felt good. Just rode 60 miles (80-90 degree heat) and no issues there. The killer, though is the "golden gate" chamois. Really comfortable. Thought well enough about these bib shorts that I got another one.

I'm 5'11" & 150 lbs. I followed the size chart recommendation, and purchased medium shorts. These short are very tight (too tight) and too short. I like the chamois, but not crazy about the material used in the rest of the shorts.

My first pair of Assos in 15 years of riding. I can't believe they are so short, feel like I am wearing hot pants. I would return if I hadn't worn them for a ride. they are comfortable enough I guess and the straps fit fine. For the price I paid I should have stuck with Giordana's.

Very good reaction at this point. Chamois is marvelous. The only problem is that it takes a while to dry after washing. I like the length. It is definitely shorter than many bibs. But the length makes the bibs cooler and focuses on the best part of a cyclist's body! I especially appreciate the short distance between the waist band and the bottom of the crotch. It's as if it packages the male package. The design prevents the bottom of the crotch from getting stuck on the tip of the saddle. I have been looking for this kind of fit forever, having claimed that someone could design bike shorts that have what is almost a pouch. These are it, I think. The constant adjustment of myself is eliminated. Maybe I have discovered the holy grail. I originally thought that the eye glass feature seemed a bit ridiculous. But I discovered that that feature is really a gift. It works, much to my surprise. I have worn these several times now. Yes, the most comfortable bibs I've worn. I have used these probably 50 times by now. I still really like them. I like the straps; they are very comfortable. I really like the way the short keeps your package secure. It makes you appear large, but hey, that's better than the opposite. I do find that I get a sensation that I am being chafed sometimes. But when I am finished riding there is no visible chafing. Some chamois butter seemed to eliminate that sensation. They do take a long time to dry. They need to dry in the open. Very good quality bibs.

Great fit for me, like the extra room for the family jewels, comfortable chamois, non-irritating straps. I find the grips at the thighs less than optimal. The legs tend to ride up when I'm on the drops and bunch outboard of the chamois.

I’ve been wearing Assos Shorts and knickers for years and years and love them. I like the fit, pad, and leg length. I have a 32” waist, and have always worn a large. Large just fits like I think shorts should fit. I ordered two of these Equipe Evo shorts in large, but they’re kind of a slim fit...slimmer than me anyway. I’m 5’7” and weigh 157. I should have ordered XL instead, they would fit a little better. I’m happy enough to keep them, they’re a shade tighter than I like them, but ok. The pad is VERY comfortable, as usual and the straps are a flat thin elastic material which I think is an improvement over their previous designs. Do buy these, if you can afford them...they’re worth the money and comfort. If your not on the thin side, you may need to go up at least one size or possibly two.

I cannot begin to describe how perfect these bib shorts are. This is my second ASSOS pair, first on the Equipe range, and I really understand why these are said to be the best shorts around. Even with the racing fit, these aren't uncomfortable at all. Sure, they're a bit more tight on your legs, but once you're on the saddle, it feels like a second skin. The chamois is perfect, with the already-tested Golden Gate technology. However I do feel this technology is a bit superior than its predecessor. At least, my bottom agrees. The bib straps are perfect, the details are perfect, the texture screams premium and it feels perfect. I have 4 other bib shorts, 2 from Rapha, 1 PAS Normal and the aforementioned Assos T_Mille. But these are certainly the jewel of the crown.

After riding these I see why Assos has the reputation it does. The cut is very anatomical and the chamois is excellent. However, the fact that the chamois isn't stitched all the way around was an issue to me. I get that they're trying to remove a source of irritation, but trust me, a little seam isn't nearly as irritating as a bunched up chamois like happened to me. It was just on one leg, so maybe a small QA issue or a slightly odd fit on my part, but still a totally unnecessary issue that shouldn't occur especially with a "premium" product like this. Guess what? I stitched it down and no more problem - Assos could have just done so from the start and saved me the hassle. I'd say they run about half a size too small, I'm 6'0", 150, 31" waist, which all would be on the lower end of the large range, and I find the large a tiny bit on the tight side. If I was any bigger it wouldn't work. If in doubt size up.

I have a variety of shorts and Assos rank up there in first. I've only used them on my indoor trainer and I have only one comment in that the chamois, although the most comfortable one I've owned is a little thin. Final review is when I can get outside and try them. Quality all the way around.

Lacks Durability!
- Familiarity:

These shorts are great comfort and fit-wise, but the pair I received seriously lack durability. After 5 months - estimate 20 rides in these shorts - the shorts developed a hole in the inner leg area. Unfortunately the Assos warranty is only 3 months - I'm trying my luck with the repair service.

I had the same problem with all my bib shorts. Holes rubbing on my inner thigh area. The problem is not with the bib but with the bike. Check your seat post where the saddle clamps to the post. If your legs are rubbing on the clamp It might be eating your bibs and you don’t know it. Solution for me was to buy a new seat post. Check out a one bolt seat post. I’ve been riding on it for almost three months now and no issues or signs of bibs with holes. Hope this helps.
